Transferring my progress thread from Beginners forums to over here. About a week or a bit more ago I created a 5 man 5 boxing team that I have been playing with slowly but steadily.

Small introduction to the team.
Tankkaan is a Protection Paladin
Jäädytän is a Fire Mage
Shokkaan is an Elemental Shaman
Vaivaan is a Destruction Warlock
and finally
Parannan is a Restoration Druid

I am not trying to rush to seventy so I'm taking my time. Ragefire Chasm is cleared twice and then it was time to start doing the prequest for Wailing Caverns. That took yesterday. Didn't really get everything I wanted from RFC, but still it was a nice easy workup. Wailing Caverns is a new level of advancement I am taking. The mage is getting killed often as the paladin is a bit low on threat still. Going to need a bit more levels to really get paladin tanking going. However, tonight is Wailing Caverns night, going which should be pretty easy still too. Although Mutanus the Devourer event might be a bit hard as you do need to collect all the mobs on the other hand, righteous defense on the healer or is very helpful often.

Gonna keep the thread up to date about my progress.

It's a bit tough at first with a paladin. You'll find things get much much easier as the paladin gets a bit deeper into his protection tree and you get righteous fury and consecration.

Going slow and enjoying the ride is definitely the way to go.

Also, you can't get caught up in getting "everything" from every dungeon. It'll drive you crazy.

Finally got around to finishing Wailing Caverns, I've had plenty of other things to do lately, including finishing up SSC and TK on the main character.

Verdan the Everliving was actually the only boss that gave any difficulties after a well planned pull. He just hits hard as hell. It ended up with the shaman finishing the elemental off after everyone else had died.

The shaman is ridiculously underpowered in comparison to the rest of the group. The warlock doesn't really deal damage either. On the other hand the paladin is leading in dps by a mile currently. Thorns, Retribution aura and tanking do that I guess. As well as the good melee weapons and drops that you get from Wailing Caverns. Most pulls best tactic is to ignore CC completely and have the druid outheal the damage from 2-3 mobs at the same time. There also were a couple of very fun aoe pulls that I used flamestrike and ae on :P

The girls had all dinged 20 during the run and the quest turn ins got them all up to 21. Now for the lvl 20 class quests for the shammy and the lock... :(

SFK drops will last you unitl SM (~10 levels)
SM drops will last you until 50 (10 - 15 levels)
ST Drops will last you until Outlands quest gear (~8 levels)

But that depends on how fast you want to get into outlands. Sit back and enjoy the ride to 70 or go balls out and hit 70? Your choice. :)
I think I replaced some BFD (yes BFD, not BRD) pant with an outlands quest item :) Basically I farmed instances till I got bored, that was based on the XP/drops/annoyance (RFD has amazing caster drops but fast spawning pats ftl)

Ah, and I thought just doing the shaman ones were bad.

My next set will probably be 2 locks and 2 mages paired with a pally I already have, wipe recover + ports + water for minimal downtime :)
