View Full Version : [ISBoxer] IS and Dominos Action Bars paging

To simplify things, let's assume that I want a super clean interface with only one action bar displayed on screen. So I configure Dominos to show only Dominos Action Bar 1 (DAB1) and bind its buttons to 1 to 0 keys.

Since I need more available actions, I set DAB1 in such a way that when I press the Shift key, DAB2 becomes displayed instead on DAB1. Still one action bar visible, with the same key bindings, and it stays like that until I release the Shift key.

When multi-boxing with Octopus and Keyclone, I used to achieve that on all clients together by putting on my white-list : the Shift key, keys 1 to 0, and Shift+1 to 0 combinations.

Pressing Shift alone would display DAB2 on each client (nice to si easily what key does what)
Pressing Shift+1 would trigger the spell on button 1 of DAB2 on each client.

All good.

Now, how do I do the same with ISboxer ?

I tried to make a keymap with Shift alone, but it doesn' seem to be pushed to slaves. I managed to do keymaps for other keys, so I don't think I did anything wrong. I tried to send the Shift key as such, and to send <no key> with a shift modifier. With my French keyboard, Shift appears as "MAJ" in ISboxer, could that be an issue ?

I also tried to push Shift+1 all together, but even though this is push to all clients, it doesn't seem to trigger the action bar paging. Since nothing is bound to Shift+1 on the client side, nothing happens.

Finally, I tried to put Shift in the white list of the repeater. The idea is to trigger the paging with this, and send send shift-1 with keymaps. However, even the first stage doesn't seem to happen, I don't see action bars paging on the slaves. Now that I think of it, I might have to "turn on" this white list somehow, and I didn't do anything specific. I should probably investigate more into that.

Any thoughts ?

Don't mess with 1-0. IS uses them for your DPS keys, and it loves to "own" them. Create a keymap toggle on the slaves to switch action bars and use 1-0 on all, just what ever you want on the slaves

I am not sure why Shift-1 does not work. I have all the modifiers for 1-0 mapped with no issues.

Create a keymap for Shift-1 and bind it in WoW to page the action bar.

Making progress, but still confused.

If I activate a repeater profile with Shift in the white-list, then Shift gets passed to all windows, and I see my action bars switching in all windows. Then I just need to pass Shift-1 (or whatever), and all my characters perform the right action.

That is exactly the behavior I'm looking for.

However, if the white-list is defined like that, do I still have a way to have all keys passed ? (like to enter password, or do something silly in game like /sit for all characters at once)

I saw there is repeater profiles, but they seem to be a way to attribute one repeater configuration to each group, not a way to have a given group have two repeater configurations. Otherwise, a solution would be to have one white-list with Shift and Ctrl always on, and another list that I can turn on when I need to type text in all windows. Probably asking too much here ...

Also, I don't understant the utility of the Hotkeys in Repetear Profiles. Isn't this redundant with what is defined in the Key Maps ? I'm probably missing something there.

Still no success with pushing only Shift or Ctrl to all windows.

I am not sure why Shift-1 does not work. I have all the modifiers for 1-0 mapped with no issues.

Create a keymap for Shift-1 and bind it in WoW to page the action bar.

I'd like the paging to be triggered by Shift alone (and Ctrl and Shift+Ctrl, for other pages).

Pushing Shift+1 works fine, if Shift+1 is bound to an action bar that is currently displayed. Just the Shift part of Shift+1 does not seem to trigger the paging.

I'm probably to difficult ! :)

A Keymap for shift probably won't do much.

I'd have the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc keys default.

Go into the FTL DPS keymaps.
Right click on 1, and copy it.
Repeat for 2 through =.

Rename the "copy of" for each to Shift + the key.
Change the hotkey to activate for the copies from 1, 2 etc.
To Shift 1, Shift 2, Shift 3.
And then change the output from 1, 2, 3 to Shift 1, Shift 2 etc.

You can do the same with Alt or Control, if you need more keys.

That way IS Boxer knows when you push Shift 1, you want Shift 1 and not 1.

I'm making the assumption that a Shift Bar in Dominos works for keybinds.
Even if you don't see the bar.

I did just what you proposed, Ualaa.
Simple, everything works, and I still have the action bars on my current main paging when I press shift, so I can see what action is going to be triggered on every character.

Problem solved.
