I'll post here because it is a hardware boxer issue if not a hardware issue.
I recently expanded to two computers. Two MacBooks: 2 WoWs on A and 3 WoWs on B. I am using a wireless keyboard setup and both Machines are using Plexer to broadcast.
My question is, how do hardware boxers handle chat? I can toggle Plexer off but I can not stop the keyboard sending keystrokes to the other machine. Is this just a flaw of a wireless setup that wired setups get around with a switched of some kind?
Thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

You are not a hardware boxer. You are using software to handle keystroke/mouse clicks.
Hardware boxers can turn off the KVM, that connects the other computer(s). Plexor is a Mac program so I am not sure if it has a pause built in.

Feider, the way I did it when I was using wireless keyboard+4 receivers for hardware boxing was that I just used the normal USB keyboard on my main to chat with and the wireless one to box. Sure, you'd have to move your hands to the other one but it worked pretty well. And once the alts were on follow, I didn't need to switch back to the wireless keyboard until I wanted to refollow or take another group action.

That will handle it you're right. So simple. Running laptops, I should thought of that staring at the extra keyboards.
Thanks for the slap in the head.

<--- Hardware boxer, probably one of the only ones left.
I use WIM (WoW instant messanger). It pops up in the middle of the screen - and I notice it usually pretty quick, as I have to actively monitor all the screens (wow clients) on a constant basis anyway.
You can use Jamba chat to relay whispers to your main though if you like. I always found this annoying, so I don't use it.
But Yes, I have a full KVM setup (16 port, only use 6 of them though - surplus! woohoo), and I also use a piece of software called "input director" with similar (much better) to synergy.

I don't talk on my slaves unless I really need to. If I do I use Jamba relay. WIM is a nice app for sure I used it in the past.
