What spec for Death Knight tank and 4 Ret?

Heard Blood's AOE threat is weak so it may not be that suitable with 4 pallies doing consecration, etc. So is Frost or Blood better? Any spec + spamabke rotation to share?

This one is a copy paste from the dk ret guy with 2200rating, can`t recall his name. I weird hybrid build but I can see how it should work. a lot of self healing, control and ret buffing. However I`m going for pvp.

I haven`t tested it yet. Still setting up macro`s. I made a click macro for the ret dps and I will control the dk myself without macro`s. The way I see it: the dk exist to serve the rets. He needs to buff the dps of the rets and offer a lot of control over the enemy with silence, chains and dk for example.

Tho I only got to 1k dps with this build. And yea the gear is shit but with a normal build I used to get like 1500 or so.

I want to see a good pve build with improved icy talons and able to tank end game. I like subbing my guys in to PuG raids for better gear. I just dont know how to make click macros for DKs.

The quick answer to the OPs question is: Frost Spec is considered the DK Tanking spec. I can post my full build later, but I use a generic 0/51/20 build. I have tanked end game dungeons with no problem, as long as you have a decent healer in the group. And my toon is still wearing mostly quest blues and crafted gear.

I had the same problem as you. i'm was running my dk with 3 elem shamans and holy pally.Just clear my first heroic after i switch to Blood after using unholy and frost in my duel spec.Unholy i was seeing my best results with my spamable macro without the macro stalling.But i was just not getting it done.Respec to blood ,add the dnd glygh i think it 20% add damage was holding aggro better than anything i seen from the other specs and the extra healing from the blood spec was put me well over the top of living thru the boss fights.i did a lot of reading and the spec i went with said not to spec for the blood worms, if that help any to you.Good luck

The reason it says not to spec bloodworms is that they hit & heal for a pitiful amount when raid tanking and they dont improve your threat. I think the worms have their uses in heroic dungeons though, especially for a group that has no dedicated healer (rets group). Ive made my own frost click macro, but it sucks and stalls every other rotation(have to wait for blood runes to recycle). I manage a pitiful 1.2k dps with it. I'm crossing my fingers that it will be enough when I resurrect my ret group come 3.3 that they wont pull mobs off tank.
