Alliance leaders 5-boxed

While running around for my pilgrim stuff, I decided to try killing some alliance leaders.
Killed Tyrande and Velen and called it a night. I'll try Magni and Varian some other day/night. :)

Note that while my warlock was present, he wasn't actually doing anything and the imp was on passive.

Velen had several named elite adds that used aoe fears and whirlwind :S

Varian should be pretty easy. Some prot pally solo'd him after 2 hours... Magni lol that should be fun for you. He hits like a hurricane. Assuming no allies come after you during your attempt that is cuz most players hang out in these 2 locations.

freak maxion! you clear HToC 1 day after hitting 80, proceed to get 20+ heroic achievements over the next 2 days, and are now soloing alliance leaders?? If I server-transfer and faction-change, can you run me through Ony and Heroic ToGC 25? gj man ..

edit: anyone know if any horde bosses are like this? I just might try this out!

I don't know the abilities of any of the faction bosses, except now I've learned those of the ones I killed, but I would think that the tauren and blood elf ones should be the easiest, or at least the least defended, maybe sylvanas too, thrall is usually well defended, like stormwind and ironforge.

I didn't try either of those two since it seemed like alliance had started to wake up.

I'll see if I can get round to trying them if I find myself up at a suitable hour someday soon, at least after i finish the rest of my pilgrims.

I think the pally soloing varian was made impossible by a patch shortly after it happened.

My fights seem like they took about 20 minutes.

I'm horde so I don't know what she does, but if you say so.

On tyrande I just had to interrupt or spam holy nova to get through her starfall.
Velen, my biggest issue was all the other elites that added (as mentioned in my original post), not sure if those are avoidable, and velen himself seemed to always want to start casting stuff on my other chars, so I had to keep taunting him back. Not sure if that was due to overaggroing dps or not though.

I hope i get to try varian and magni without much alliance interference (fat chance, i know), cause I really wanna see if I can beat them on my own ^^

The only alliance that attacked me during these two was an ele shaman that tried to gank my mage during tyrande cause i had killed him on my way in cause he was flagged and looked at me funny. But after his initial flame shock lava burst i threw my shield at him and killed him before he could cast again. Had some other alliance come over and look at me for a while before going away again during that fight, but I don't think anyone even saw me fighting velen.

She's a damn munchkin that multiclassed as a hunter/rogue/necromancer and dual-wields holy vorpal swords of godslaying +15.

I have always wondered do any of the world leaders drop anything?

For instance the king of stormwind? I would imagine he would drop like excalibur or something.

Each boss dropped about 70g or so when I killed these, no items.
