I only just started doing WG, which is a blast btw, even with my poor equipment. One question however. When defending/attacking and everyone is bunched up near the fortress, I'm lagging like hell. And it's not graphics lag, becase after pressing a button, it'll take 1-2 seconds for the spell to start casting/channeling.

Am I the only one with this problem? And if not, how do you guys handle it?

Nope this is normal. I would suggest to not be where everyone is at, but about 50-100 yards away and just pick people off. It's fun to drop magma totems on the invaders, but the lag can be unbareable.

Ok, glad it's not just me. I'm having quite a fun time running around taking the smaller objectives. Just have to pull myself together and setup my paladin for healing.

Yeh sadly the lag is awful even playing just 1 char, its a shame because WG had the potential to be amazing.

I mostly take shops now. Having 4 characters really speeds up the capping process :D

I never lag in Dalaran, even at peak hours. But when WG is full and we are defending/assaulting the keep, i start to slow down ( but I still can play ) Its the only time my PC slows down though.

As a boxer, I feel bad when I'm not blowing apart siege vehicles. We're totally suited for desetroying them, or softening them up with dots, so the others can take them down. I tend to place myself at the front of the pack (in either offense or defense) and just hammer away at siege vehicles.

Yea i only play one character atm in wg due to fps issues. Even with one ill drop from 60 down to 20. Im just hoping with the new computer ill be able to handle it with 5 at once. I will have enough memory to run 10 a good vid card and processor and two hard drives s

Ill just cross my fingers it will be here next week then ill let u all know how wg is now hoping its better.

You'll need a real monster - I'm using an Core i7 @ 4.3 Ghz (water cooled), 12 gig ram, 160GB intel gen 2 SSD and Radeon 5870 and I'm getting heavy lag (not sure if it's video lag or just server/connection lag - it only happens in Winterspring though, in Dalaran it's working fine).

Has nothing to do with your comp. Its server lag so bad it basically De-syncs you until you DC or the match ends.

Lower settings on view distance can help.
But the server lags noticeably during WG.

Even if you're not participating, I frequently experience loot lag anywhere in Northrend during WG on busier days like weekends or holidays.

doesn't matter if you got an i.7 10ghz with 1TB ram and 8 video cards, in that room it's server lag
