T-day kinda like judgement day? Is that what the terminators call it? =)

The patch which brought the WotLK talents, towards the end of BC was 6 weeks after we started to download.

But in general its 1-3 weeks after we start the early download.
Pretty decent size, so I'd guess most of the stuff they're happy with.
PTR is still up, I believe, so there's a bit of fine tuning still.

Well this patch isnt the wotlk talents patch, this one is the BT patch. if u compare to TBC. If im right? And we will prob have a 3.4 with a "sunwell" equal. Then comes the cata talents patch :) If they do same as in TBC at least :P

There are no more 3.x patches after 3.3(not counting small fix patches) so unless Cataclysm gets pushed back then you wont see any "talents" patch.

The "talents" patches have always been x.0 if i'm not mistaken. The x.0 patch always comes out before the content release hits stores. We won't see any more wrath content but we may or may not see a 4.0 with new talents before cataclysm hits stores.

However they have expressed that they do not want to 'extend' the talent trees another 2 tiers like they have in the last two expansions. Instead they will reshape the current trees a tiny bit and give us 5 more talent points (hence the new level cap of 85 instead of 90).

That would be interesting depending on how move things around. Going 5 points deeper in a second tree without losing your 51 point main talent would be awesome for some classes!

Well there is always a "backup plan" ie stories that have been drawn up already as fillers if they need additional content in an expansion, for example, emerald dream is one. Sunwell was not initially intended but they needed something to fill in until 3.0 was closer.

I think it is pretty clear that they do not intend to use a backup plan this time around as the last patch before the expansion has deliberate cock blocks to slow down completion until they are ready a la 2.4 and 3.3. We will then get 4.0 to play with new skills and the reitemised gear and probably an event to keep us interested until the expansion is out.

Also remember that ICC is being released in chunks. First part hits with 3.3 then a few weeks later the second and so on until the final part is released. They are also limiting the attempts you can have per weeks. So if they allow for 5 attempts and you wipe 5 times you have to wait until next week to try again. They could be using this as a way to keep things going until cataclysm comes out.

I think you're exactly right; it's a way to drag out content. Pretty lame, I think, but I'm not a raider, so it doesn't affect me at all. It was roughly two years between the 1st and 2nd expansions. With this being the last content patch, and us just barely passing the 1-year mark, I wonder how long they're going to attempt to stretch this update.

Yah,

Call me crazy, but I'm in no hurry for Cata. I started up a few months before WotLK was released, and since I'm OCD, I've been trying to complete a majority of the Vanilla and BC stuff (Mainly Reps) which happened before WotLK. I'd like to be as "complete" as possible on stuff up to raiding in WotLK before Cata comes out.

I've done pretty good in the last year, to be honest, but there's a hefty chunk of stuff left to do.

I think raising the WSG rep (Without doing a faction change) is basically a lose cause, however. haha

It was said on official wow forums in blue that there will be no sunwell type raid after IC and that IC is the final raid of this expansion.

This is the last "major" content patch. IC is the end of the story. IC will be opened up in phases >> http://blue.mmo-champion.com/12/21038229051-icecrown-citadel-raid-access-progression.html

There Will be no "Sunwell" patch, there might be small T10 updates, such as more OS instances opened up etc. But no higher level content than IC for sure.

By unlocking the sections of IC over time, they can buy some extra time to finish Cata, but if they take too long, they will have months of less subscribers. I know I am bored as hell already. Once I eat up this patches( 3.3) content. It will take an expansion to keep me playing. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in that.

It won't be before Thanksgiving, and it won't be right after... I predict Dec. 8th.

I can't wait until they release the patch that reduces the required experience to hit 80. I still have yet to get any team to 80.

Nice to see its coming out inf a few weeks. But kind of early to tell you the truth my guild is not ready for the 10 man content I dont think. Will take at least another few months for guild to be ready.

I read somewhere on the official forums that we'd get an official comment a couple of weeks before release.

I think Dec 8th is a good guess. I dont think they can push this out before Thanksgiving.

Eh I guess Dec 8th was a bad guess, MMO-Champion has a post that players have at least a month to download the new patch with the background downloader. That means it might not make it out before christmas. I'm kinda pissed about that.
