I want to try dual boxing.. I have mine and my Fiance's accounts. Im kinda afraid to dual box them since the name isn't the same on the account. We play on separate computers all the time, with the same internet connection, and a router.

I dont want to lose my T4/Kara Priest or (much more importantly) my fiance's 70 Kara'd Frost Mage..

Would a router "mask" the individual computer's IP Addresses from Blizz?

The last thing I want to see is a GM coming on and going "ok, theyre both banned" for dual-boxing 2 accounts with different names.

Ideas? Thoughts?

Nothing illegal in dualboxing, but if a GM asks you don't know your fiancees' password and she just logged on and left. Also you got no idea of her account details (other than her name) or anything else she's not supposed to share.

Other than that Blizzard don't mind dualboxers, if they had anything at all against us they'd have listened to the whiners long ago and put it in the ToU or smthn.

Thanks for the reply.

I read th TOS (yeah, Im bored at work) and there is nothing there about logging onto others accounts.. It says youre responsible for your account info here:

"You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Login Information, and you will be responsible for all uses of your Login Information, whether or not authorized by you. In the event that you become aware of or reasonably suspect any breach of security, including without limitation any loss, theft, or unauthorized disclosure of your Login Information, you must immediately notify Blizzard by emailing wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com."

But nothing about not being allowed to disclose it, or allow others to play on your account..

May be nitpicking, but I really dont wanna lose either account. But there is always the blanket statement:

"BLIZZARD MAY SUSPEND, TERMINATE, MODIFY, OR DELETE THE ACCOUNT AT ANY TIME WITH ANY REASON OR NO REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE."

Blizzard will not care about a spouse living in the same household playing on the same PC from the same IP it usually connects from. Routers do not mask IPs.

I cant imagine they would, considering alot of gaming centers would run into this problem.

I was more concerned with playing both on the same computer at the same time. I would think its detectable by Blizz.. but I cant see anything in the TOS saying I cant let someone play my characters, or vice versa.. If thats allowed, then Boxing would fall under that..

Thanks for the replies!

It is detectable by their "rootkit" style Warden. But if they were to ban you, they would have to ban tens of thousand of other legitimate paying customers as well.

I would not worry about it - just don't use third party programs that can automate game play, etc. Because that they can and will ban for.
