Going from 3 to 4 boxxing....

Right now I have three level 8 shaman and I have decided to add a fourth character to the mix since my computer is running three accounts fine.

If you guys were going to add another character what would be your choice?

Might as well grab a fifth account and add another shaman and tank. Case closed!

Honestly though, if you don't state your game play goals it's hard to answer. PVE or PVP? Both? Solo heroics? Solo end-game raiding? MBox raiding? Just messing around until Star Wars TOR comes out?

agreed. go for 5 and do not regret it.

If your only interest is pvp then OK 4 is fine, but getting new weapons and stuff might require a tank, and 5boxing is far more fun than 4.. take it from me, I was 4boxing for 2 years before i went to 5 and i regret not doing it a lot earlier

If you are going to play PvE too you should rly add a tank and another shaman(well atleast if you are new to multiboxing)

PvP will be fine without a 5th character therefore adding another shaman will be your best choice..

If PvP is a focus, I'd go with 4x Shaman + 1x Paladin.
That way you can PvP with 4x Shaman and have someone else play the healer.
And you still have a strong group for PvE - Heroics.
You can dual-spec one of the shamies Elemental/Resto, or run 4x Elemental.

If PvE is your focus, I'd go with 3x Shaman, 1x Warlock (or 1x Boomkin) and a Paladin.
Or you can go 4x Shaman + 1x Death Knight.
Warlocks, Boomkin and Deathknights have a 13% spell damage buff, which is huge.
But a Prot. Paladin is much easier to macro/box then any other tank.
Although all of the tanking choices can work if you have a preference.

Depending on how many existing accounts you have now, RAF is a definite consideration.
With toons at only level 8, its not much of a set back starting over.
However 3 existing accounts means, at most 2 can be linked.
You'd likely need to keep 2 of the 3, and RAF link to 3 new ones.
