Hi again everyone. I just upgraded to InnerSpace. I'm having a hard time seting up my session. I viewed the video tutorial and believe I used all the same settings just to test. Here is what I have setup. Please let me know what is good or bad:
Two (2) Physical PCs each with LotRO Client installed and patched and ready to go.
One (1) Display. Native Res 1920x1200
My setup uses a real KVM Switch for all my PCs
Both PCs have InnerSpace installed.
My main PC is the more powerful PC so I will use that one mainly. It has InnerSpace and ISBoxer toolkit
I didn't see the part of connecting both physical PCs and how you control them.
Ok, so all I really want to do is setup a two (2) man team for playing. I just need the other toon to follow and assist really. Harvesting and looting as well. Are there examples of seting up for this? Also, what if you have hotkeys that go all the way to the 5th hotkey bar. 61-72 Does ISBoxer allow for that? I didn't notice that in the setup process. It just has number 1 through 0

I have no experience with LotRO.
I'd suggest the IS Boxer IRC, which you can reach here: http://www.lavishsoft.com/chat/isboxer.php

Ok, I have had some experience, and the first thing I would suggest is don't use the KVM switch. Lotro with IS and ISBoxer toolkit can connect between 2 machines. Also if you main machine is a quad core with about 8gigs of Ram you should be able to run 4 on 1 computer.
I currently run 3 on my machine. Here is my machine to compare.
EVGA 780i Motherboard
Intel Q6600 2.4GHz Quad core overclocked to 3.0ghz.
Crucial Ballastic Tracer Ram PC2-8500 4GB
EVGA 8800GTS currently not in SLI because of boxing.
2 Maxtor 500GB Sata drives
1 Maxtor 80GB IDE
I prefer to run each instance of Lotro on its own drive so it doesn't strain them so hard.
I also run with my main toon on the the main screen only and the 2 alts on the 2nd monitor. I run each in 1/4 the screen size which leaves the bottom open to have a browser open for using websites like the MMODB site for quests guides. If you go to 6 or 8 gigs that should be able run all 4 if you have a quad core and put each instance on its own core.
Two things you have to remember when setting up the Window layout is make sure that "keep lotro from repositioning windows" and also "make lotro think its in the forefront" or something like that is clicked. Lotro won't accept imput if its not the current window and this is where IS shines. It makes Lotro think it is and also puts the windows where you tell them to be thanks to to the toolkit.
Part of the key to making Lotro work for those keys your referring to bind them to keys that your not currently using. Like Numkeys. I use them alot for running a mini.
Then after you have bound to them you can go into the toolkit and setup those keys so that only the character instance you want those keystrokes to go to will recieve those keystrokes.
With Innerspace and ISBoxer toolkit there is really no use for a KVM in my opinion. It has just about everything you need to box built into it and more coming all the time thanks to Lax. Best place to start is watch the Lotro setup video that he has to get you up and running. Its youtube so you can pause and go back if needed to help you get it setup. Lax also has a internet relay chat if you find yourself stuck on a problem you are not able to resolve.
Don't be surprised that one you get accustomed to IS if you find yourself trying to keymappings. I have.
Good luck.
XP.

Glad I came across this I was wondering what kind of system it would take to run at least 3 clients on 1 PC. I was following a fellow multiboxer on Youtube. I just got around to using Innerspace +Istoolbox suite myself. The only thing that had me frustrated was the PC communicating I had to temporary disable the firewall and renable it once I could see the other 2 PC's
After being hooked for about week leveling up some RK's and Hunter's I decided to upgrade My PC's. They are struggling to run 1 client apiece heh and Iam eager for some Full instance running. Budget wise its cheaper for me to sell the 3 and get 2 newer PC's but I didnt have a good baseline to gauge it until now.
Plus with Mirkwood coming out I want to be ready to try some stuff. They say there is a lot of new mechanics that wont make the instance runs straight forward. But hey thats part of the fun of conquering them with your own team. :))

I've never played LotRO, but from the few posts I've seen, its a bit more intensive on your system then WoW.
If you're getting a new system, I'd definitely strongly consider something like this:
Win7 Home, 64-bit.
x58 chipset board (I went with Asus P6T)
i7 920
12gb DDR3 (Come in 3's, 6gb would work)
SSD (low end, just for the gaming folder)
A system like this will 5-box wow smoothly.
It should easily handle 3 clients.

As soon as I get some real free time I will try again but I followd the Video Tutorial and it didn't work the same way for me. It didn't work at all. LOL I guess I did something wrong. I'd rather utilize the second PC. I have to use the KVM because I have 6 PCs and ONE display. I would much prefer to utilize both PCs instead of 2 instances on the one. Unless someone can put a tutorial for dumbies that goes through every part of setting it up at least to work then work on the other customizations such as setting up keys and stuff... Like I said I want if for simple stuff. Nothing too elaborate.
My main PC:
Vista Premium x64
i7 920
6GB RAM
1x360GB HD - 1x 750GB HD
GT250
Dell 24 Widescreen Display.
Second system is:
Vista Ulimate x64
Q8400
8GB RAM
Same HD setup as main
GT150

Guess I need to post what Iam currently working with :)
3 Old IBM Net Vistas PC;s My dedicated Tri-boxing Systems
Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3
40GB Harddrive
Nvidia Geforce 6200 (Cost more then the PC's) LOL
2GB of Ram
I Still used Hotkeynet and router to Tri-box, But like I mention after getting Isboxer and innerspace working I dont know If I can keep goinig back I love the broadcast features and the fact you can use movement keys on all the PC's. Without having to move the mouse over to the side screens
