View Full Version : pallies hit 40 now what!
Well i Dont have RAF anymore and im leveling up a set of pallies which just hit 40. What would be fastest route to 58 from here? Should i stick to boosting with my prot pally in ZF then strat or some such or would questing from here out be faster. Just wonderin!

I'd say stick to SM until 45, then directly to Strath. In my experience it takes roughly the same time - especially if you include the travel time.

How much XP are you getting without RAF? How long does it take to gain a level? may just be easier to quest depending on how much XP you getting. No RAF sucks.
well up till 37 it was about 25% of a level per clear. I clear it in 1 pull and get locked out after 5 runs now that im 40 its more like 6-7 runs per level about 14-16% per run and still get locked out. Which is why im considering ZF more mobs but longer pull and chance to get hexed which could be bad.
So yea ZF=not possible. pulled half the zone got them to entrance lay consecrate waiting for somthing to die.....5 min passes nothing is dead. ok they are dropping healing totems ill just kill the totems....For as many totems as i killed it seems they drop more instantly. Anyway after about 10 min i eventualy zoned out in frustration. back to SM till 45 i guess. This might be possible with a dk or somthing but prot pally would def take a while.

i had that same problem in ZF, if you move them around constantly then the totems dont give you that much trouble, just go in a circle big enough where their totems dont heal them and take out the witch docs first

Do you at least have BoA chest and shoulders?

Out of curiousity, how well geared does your tank need to be to do these entire zone pull boosting tactics. I have some level 80 druids I may want to boost some incomlete teams on, but as for tanking gear, I'm really only going to have the feral arena set. Do you think that'd be sufficient, or should I really spend time filling out the other armor slots?

He doesn't need to be decked out. A lvl 80 tank with blue gear should do fine - if need be, just split the pulls and to like 2 or 3 pulls, the xp per hour will be the same since you'll be waiting for instances to reset timer anyway.

That's a good point, thanks. I'm back doing a handful of dailies each day, anyway. So I'll have a good chunk of change to buy some AH tank gear for 'em, when I finally get around to boosting my lower toons up to 60. I only need to deck out two bear tanks, as my split teams have higher leveled 5th players on two different accounts, not just one. Doh! hehe
But I want two bear tanks, anyway, so I can ultimately tank the heroics (If I choose to not use paladins) and get a full set of Red Proto Drakes on my shaman team.

Pre Wrath, I was doing boosting with a lvl 70 prot paladin, in decent gear so at level 80 its even easier. Just some basic stuff, stack Stamina, and i guess Agility for bears?
working on getting chest and shoulders. my quad shaman team is on alliance and ive been really hesitant moving them to horde when they got 1800+ 5v5 going for them atm. Seeing as how i cant find a sturdy healer tho its kinda pointless to stay if i cannot pull off 1900-2000 for helm and shoulders.

I'd go... SM to 45.
Strat to 55.
Ramparts to 60.
Underbog to 66.
Black Morass to 70 (don't start the event).
Not sure beyond that, for boosting with an 80th.
