I have been having disconnect issues with my warlock for the last few weeks. Yesterday I couldn't log in at all, after raising a ticket on another toon, this is the email I received today.

We are currently investigating an issue where an active Demonology talent specialization combined possibly with having a demon active is creating a situation where a small percentage of players are disconnected when logging into the game. While we continue to investigate and work to resolve any underlying issues, we have found a couple of workarounds that will help you play for now.

We have found that changing talent specialization has alleviated this issue in many cases. While we do not wish to influence how you play, switching to an alternate talent specialization or unlearning talents and choosing a new specialization that does not go deep (30+ points) into the Demonology tree is an option available to you.

Several players have reported that not having a demon summoned will assist with the login process. You are welcome to try dismissing any active demon before logging out.

If you are having difficulty logging in at all even after a couple of tries, holding the 'W' or 'Q' keys (forward and left strafe by default) upon login can also assist in successfully getting into the game. You may try one key or the other until you are able to successfully login with the character.

We are commited to improving the situation so that the talent spec you choose or pets you use no longer have an affect on the ability to login. While we are working to do such as soon as possible, it may require some time to fully resolve this issue which is why we are presenting these workarounds you can use in the meantime to play your Warlock.

Is anyone else having similar issues?

I don't have the problem on my locks (affliction atm) but I found that if I log out while standing on one of the grated areas in the Dal Sewers, I experience the same issue. Just holding the move forward button while the blue bar on the loading screen fills has worked for me every time.
Kind of sucks they may not be able to fix it for a while...

This is why blizz has been rolling out new hardware. OP toons are causing CPU crashes :/

OMG YES my warlocks always DC upon login. I figured it was just me but ya its only the locks that do it consistantly... they also seem to be a little more laggy with everyday responses.

Same with me. I changed my second spec to Destruction for now, to try something new while I avoid the bug that may make me angry. :)

kept getting disconnected constantly, thought it was blizzard disconnecting me, but it was'nt.

my ISP or should i say british telecoms, BT are doing evening upgrades converting the lines into 21N system enabling the future telephone lines to support a larger range of services such as normal adsl lines to support speeds up to 20mb.

i was getting 2 hours of lost connection last night, this is happening on a massive scale so either check 2 things.

1. check BB connection and see if it loses the BB service and then reconnects, if so BT talk to them.
2. delete WTF, and cache folder or rename them. hopefully remove any corrupted files, check is the blizzard.net authorising port is open i think its 1119?
