I'm not sure if anyone ever confirmed this or not.. We know that they are reducing the cool down on our ele pets to 10 minutes, and we wondered if they would reduce the current glyph from 10 minutes to 5, they did! I'm on PTR now and i can put my fire ele pet down every 5 minutes! WOOT! It last for 2 ( if it lives that long ) so it will be available most the time! At least for every boss, and in PvP a lot!

Hmm now someone needs to crunch numbers and find out if fire elemental > +spell power totem for the duration.

making it a perma pet if it lives..nice.. ill take the 5 minute cooldown though.

did i just see the fire nova go off AT the pet? I thought it would go off AT the totem..no? thats bad ass!

you're probably seeing the pets nova? and not the spell ability?

so if this is right, you can now glyph down to 5 minutes, AND you can glyph and talent Fire Nova down to 3 seconds, so pet+nova = shammys are op again?
AV is about to get really fun again

I'm going to have to drop one of my Glyphs. I currently do:

Chain Lightning
Flame Shock

And I was planning on adding in Flame Nova when it's released. But man. I guess I may have to drop chain lightning for the Fire Elemental one. Or is that a minor glyph?

Minor glyphs are there to remove reagent costs.

Arena will want a different set of glyphs.
Glyph of Shocking is probably required, and Fire Elementals are not usable.

But for world pvp, BG's and pve...

Totem of Wrath glyph grants a lot of spell power.
As a 5 min buff, which means we can then drop Fire Elemental and keep the Glyph benefits.
I'd probably still have one team member leave ToW down.

Fire Elemental glyph brings us to 5 mins for F. Elementals.

Lava Burst glyph is more damage on our big spell.
Elemental Mastery knocks 30s off of our almost-instant kill spell 2.5min/3.0 mins = 5/6 = 1/6 faster = ~16.67% reduction in cooldown.
Lightning Bolt glyph is a slight improvement to our bread and butter spell.

Still a few choices.
