As I dive in and start tweaking and adjusting my setup, I noticed the FTL modifier check boxes, and they have default checks.
Character Sets > [Team Name] > Slots > 1
next to the CPU Cores, is the: World of Warcraft: FTL Modifiers
Left Ctrl Right Ctrl
Left Shift Right Shift
Left Alt Right Alt
I am mostly using out of the box wizard setup. I don't fully understand how these default check boxes interact with my setup.
I use some of these buttons for other stuff, and was just curious if I am doing something I am not aware of yet :D
Thanks,
Acid

If we assume a toon from Account A is always in Slot 1.
And a toon from Account B is always in Slot 2.
Etc.
Then you can just give the same set of FTL modifiers to every toon in Slot 1.
The whole point is for the modifiers to be different from others in the same character set.
The easiest is for slot 1 to be synonymous with account 1, and slot 2 with account 2 etc.
That way, you can mix and match down the road.
Taking any toon from account 1, putting them in slot 1.
Etc..
And end up with whatever combination you want, but everyone has unique modifiers.

Pretty sure I understand that. Just to follow up. I have (prob by default):
Toon1 = Left Shift
Toon2 = Right Shift
Toon3 = Left Ctrl
Toon4 = Left Alt
When I swap to Toon3, what if I am hitting LEFT CTRL+Y for something random? How does that affect the LEFT CTRL ? Or does it?
I guess that is what I am still confused by. But it's my understanding these modifiers are automatic, when you switch from Toon to Toon.
Thanks,
Acid

Doesn't matter.
These modifiers are used for exactly 3 keys: FTL Target Me, FTL Assist Me, and FTL Follow Me. Anything else you do is unaffected by the FTL modifiers. When you use (or one of the other mapped keys uses) one of those 3 things, the selected FTL modifiers for your current character are sent with the key selected for that particular action. So for example if FTL Follow Me is set to F11, and the FTL modifier is Ctrl, then it's going to press Ctrl+F11 instead of just F11. This essentially uses a different macro in the game depending on the character, so each guy knows who to assist, target, or follow.
So no, it doesn't matter if you are pressing Ctrl+Y, that is unaffected.

See if my understanding is correct.
Our FTL DPS keys, are by default 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0, -, =.
These keys will run a Keymap for FTL Assist Me.
And then send the key to every client.
The FTL modifiers we select only apply to "FTL Assist Me", "FTL Follow Me" and "FTL Target Me".
So if I put a macro on key 1, with a default action and then a secondary action if its pushed with Alt also held...
The Alt + 1 does not affect the FTL modifiers at all.
Because they only apply for the three keymaps, and are determined not by what I push when activating the macro, but by the predefined modifier keys.

Right. You can use Hotkey Alt+1 and Key Combination Alt+1 if you want, and since it would be doing FTL Assist Me independently from the Alt+1, this has no effect on the FTL.
