Multiclass team hit 80 and cleared H ToC within a day :D [Archive]

Finally got my multiclass team to lvl 80.
Paladin: protection
Druid: Balance
Shaman: Elemental
Mage: Frost
Priest: Discipline

And within a day of hitting 80, they cleared heroic ToC(5) ! :D

I'm so proud ^^

Kill the add in phase 1.
Burn him with bloodlust while he's summoning at start of phase 2, then aoe adds when they come out.
Stack up and aoe heal like crazy while dpsing as hard as possible in phase 3.

can i be the first to say ... YOU SUCK!!! just kidding man, i'm really jealous ... my tank has got 37k, my priest (disc) has 2000sp, and my 3x arcane mages are in 200lvl-ish gear, and i can't beat NORMAL.

How they heck did you pull 2.8k dps on your mage 1 day after hitting 80? My mages burst to 2.7 and settle around 2.2 - and they've got almost 1700 sp ... I'm currently running up my druids so I can run exactly what you've got - prot pally, disc priest, ele shaman, balance druid and arcane mage.

Gratz maxion - just goes to show that good skill is way better than good gear. I'm fetching screenshots of your armory page on each of your toons to remind me this is do-able. I'm so motivated to get back in there now =)

Seeing as his mage is frost (which is baaaaaad dps) and he mentions he aoes the adds in p2, Im gonna guess that what is shown is recount is the current fight and the mage is on top cause frost specced blizzard is amazing. For single target dps I would not expect a frost mage to be doing that much :)

I'm still amazed at how well some people are able to perform with good skill alone - this case in particular. I've got to get it out of my head that I *need* more gear ...

I've got screenshots of his armory page when he completed it - he was in all blues with only 1 or 2 epics from ToC that he just completed. His toons are geared better now, because he's got 22 (yes, twenty two) new heroic achievements in the last 3 days ... no clue how he's whipping this stuff off ..

Hehe, thanks for the attention and discussion guys, allow me to fill in some gaps :)
The priest is healing.
The dmg meter in the screenshot is overall, including the mounted part, and yes, everyone helps aoe, even the priest. Starfall rocks (as long as it lasts anyway).
Paletress was indeed not part of my first clear of H ToC, though I got her and killed her when I did it again two days later.

Since then I've also cleared H Old Kingdom, which I found the last boss to be almost as challenging as H ToC lol. And as you may have noticed in the achievements that have been linked, I also got Amber Void so far from H Oculus :)

I am indeed trying to see how fast i can get Glory of the Hero on this team without outside help ^^

Feel free to ask specific questions and I'll do my best to answer.
If there is enough interest in it, I could post a more detailed description of my keybindings and macro setup.
Addon list etc. Any addons you want to know what is, for example? :)

While leveling up, they cleared all the northrend instances, usually while 2-4 lvls below the bosses.

I find the bubbles make healing easier, and i just spam glyphed holy nova for aoe heals.

I agree on the bubbles. When I switched from disc to holy, my priest felt.....much different. Never liked holy that much...

ToC was the heroic daily today, so I decided to fraps paletress and the black knight to show you how I do it :)
Granted my gear has improved a bit in the last couple of days (including t8.5 helm from badges) but its still the same strategy :)

Hmm interesting, I alternate CoH with Holy Nova and Prayer to heal group. Not sure if its an advantage to rotate those spells. It's embarassing that you clear this consistently with 3300 gs guys and mine are 4500ish and still wipe to this event. LOL =/

UPDATE: cleared ToC normal last night for the first time with my new mixed team - pally, priest, shaman, mage & druid. After continually wiping 2 months ago on the black knight with pally/priest/3xmage, I was able to take him down 2nd try, coming out of phase 2 with full health - thanks to Maxion's help. When phase 2 starts, I pop mirror-image, starfall, and hero (not necessary) and put all my guys on follow (hit the BK with my avenger's shield to get aggro) while spamming arcane explosion and holy nova. I walk around in a large circle while spamming this until all the adds are dead - easy sauce.

I decided to give heroic a go, and got spanked hard by the warrior,rogue,shaman combo ... eventually reset and got an easier combo warrior,mage,shaman. Could not beat the paletress though ...even with a tremor totem, the group gets feared fairly far away. Maxion says he'll be reposting an HD version of that fight so I can see what's going on a bit better .. my tank has almost 39k hp buffed - i *should* be able to do this ....

Some of the champion combinations can be nasty like that yeah, just remember to spread out your alts before pulling whenever the rogue is present to minimize poison puddle damage before you move them out of it.

My best run (or most impressive) on normal was almost killing the black knight in phase 3 when my group was lvl 79. :)

The new version of my ToC video is better, but not quite as good HD as my other HD videos since I was still recording at half resolution at the time. I'll post it anyway, since it is more readable than the first version.

I'll see about recording H ToC again with better gear (most likely, though I have a plan for a quirky version of something later on) and include the champions (I'll do it if I get the rogue again) so I can have a version of this with the best resolution.

Can you say how you got from fresh 80 to that ? maybe you meant 24h and did a bunch of instances and got some badges ? or AH boe ? or crafted gear ?

I actually did not do any other instances before that after I hit 80 (except doing it once on regular first), but I had some other stuff to do during the day in between, so I had to put within a day instead of right as they hit 80.
I had a couple ilvl 200 crafted pieces waiting for my pally, but that was it.
Everything else was from quests and instances that I did before hitting 80, including the first two bosses (one time) in reg ToC5 at 79 (almost killed the last one too at 79, heh).
