Im really looking forward to multiboxing and I have it all planned out ( think). Im gonna use the a-b-c-d-e method of accounts with A running everyone through instances. I got a plenty good computer to run 5 WoWs on (have tests with friends accounts and trials).
The problem is that I am a little tight on money. I can afford the startup costs but I would love to save all that I can.

Does anyone know of any websites or stores that I can contact to save a few bucks on the expans and the originals?

Would be awesome if someone could :D

The battlechests are classic wow + burning crusade in one box.
I'd imagine wow will follow the everquest trend, and include a wow + bc + wrath box, once cataclysm is available.

I'm not sure on specific stores, but at the moment Battlechests + Wrath are you best bet, as far as products.

I'd definitely RAF refer yourself from the account A account management page.
Then use your retail cd key to upgrade the account.
From the newly upgraded account, RAF yourself an account.
Repeat.

So A refers B which refers C, which refers D which refers E.
Which gets you the maximum granted levels possible (cascading the granted levels).
B will get RAF 3x exp's when grouped with C, even if A is in the party.
Every account other then E gets a month free, when the referred account pays for a month.
And each of the A-D accounts gets a Zhevra mount free, so 3 new toons won't need to spend any gold on the ground epic mount, just the reduced riding skill cost.

As far as software to box with, I'll strongly recommend InnerSpace with ISBoxer Toolkit.
And definitely grab the Jamba addon, everything else is optional for boxing.

Keyclone FTW. I have experience with that software and LOVE it.

The software option depends on what you want to be able to do.

As far as keyboard broadcasting goes, Keyclone rocks.
You have a whitelist option (which I didn't like) or a blacklist option (which I used for Tab and NumLock).
You have a toggle key to turn mouse broadcasting on, but its not that great.
You have a Pause key to turn keyboard broadcasting off or back on.
If this is all you want from the boxing software, it does all of these very well.

I moved to InnerSpace because...
-- The PiP swaps are virtually instant, not 1.5 seconds.
-- You can accurately mouse broadcast for targeting spells like Mass Dispel, Hurricane, Blizzard, etc.
-- You can mouse broadcast to select talents simultaneously, or click on bonfires etc.
-- The wizard builds automatic FTL, just drag spells to say the 1 key. No matter which toon you're on, each casts their ability on that key at the target of whichever toon you're controlling. No need for macro knowledge to do this.

Since using IS, I've been extremely pleased with the power of Keymaps.

You can send commands to all windows without the current, so arrow keys will move the slaves and not the main, no matter what toon you are on. This is like Keyclone's BlackList, but it's the reverse (pass these keys but don't use them here).

You can set up an activation hotkey which presses a different output key to warcraft.
Or it can toggle a keymap state.

With my 5x Boomkin druid group, I can manage Eclipse Procs easily.
One Keymap has 1 as its hotkey and outputs 1 to the wow client.
I have my IS/MF/Wrath click sequence on 1.
Another Keymap has 1 as its hotkey and outputs - to the wow client.
I have my IS/MF/Eclipse click sequence on -.
A third Keymap (well one per Druid, each on its own hotkey), activates one and deactivates the other of these two keymaps, and on the next press does the reverse.
So I can spam 1, and when I get an Eclipse proc, continue to spam 1, but press the keybind for the toggle macro and now gain all the benefits from the Eclipse .

With IS, this is 7 Keymaps for 5 druids.
And a total of 6 buttons that need to be pushed by me.
One to spam, and 5 to control which set of spells each druid is casting.

I could do the same with Keyclone, but without the Keymaps which can toggle other keymaps...
I would need only 2 macro's instead of 7 Keymaps.
But I would need to arrange them in combinations so each druid could be casting either spell on the one click.
That adds up to 2^5 or 32 different keybind combinations, and unfortunately this would not be just spamming 1 all the time, but 32 separate buttons, and that just covers the IS-MF-Wrath/Starfire spam, nothing else.
That also makes a monumental assumption that I'd know which of the 32 buttons to spam, based on the combination of Eclipse procs across 5 druids.

So it really depends on what you want from boxing.
If Keyboard broadcasting is enough, Keyclone is $20 for a lifetime license.
If you want more options and power, InnerSpace is $36 per year.
Both programs are excellent at what they do.

I would also mention Hotkeynet, it's free and pretty powerful if you are willing to stick it out during the setup phase. There are several script provided on the website that allow for 5 on 1 setups such as yours. There are also several ready made scripts for FTL, with a small amount of macro work you could be ready to go in under an hour.
If you find HKN to be a little to bothersome with the scripting it gives you a nice picture of what Keyclone or IS + ISBoxer can do for you without having to pay.

I was under the impression that WoW prices were fixed. Meaning if a store sells it for less they are losing money. I'm sure you can find a few that sell it at cost or something of the sort, just be cautious when dealing with sites that sell it way under what everyone else is posting it at, they may be selling you stolen or previously used CD keys which can land you in the wonderful world of banishment.

Anyway good luck in your endeavour it's quite the addiction.

I didn't like the scripts in HKN, mainly because I'm not good with scripts.
I can tweak IS easier to accomplish what I want.

So far users for both of these have had responses on how to accomplish just about anything with one or the other.
Chances are if one can do it, the other can as well.

Gamersloot.net offers a huge reduction to the normal retail price (definitely when you can buy the eu version in us dollars ...). I know a few people who only order their games there, without any problems. Well you only get the cd key of course, downloading is up to you.

Every month or so Best Buy puts the Battlechest and WotLK on sale for $29.99 each.

Just bought BC and Wrath for my 3rd account at Miejer for only 19.99 a piece. Cheaper than upgrading online.
