Hi Guys,

I'm actually going to be 49 in Feb, but it's close enough to 50. :) Most of my friends have left WoW for other games or other things to do in life such as raise families and jobs; however, my family is complete and my job is secure so I need something to consume my available time.

I still have my five accounts from the old TBC boxing days, but pretty much gave up on 5 boxing instances because I sucked at doing it. Of course now that I look back at it, I didn't have a dedicated healer of my four shaman/pally setup, I was only using Keyclone and the Kavoom KVM setup. And I was using a focus/follow setup. After cruising the forums there seem to be many new ways of doing stuff... FTL setup, Innerspace, and many other new things.

I'm not ambidextrous nor fast enough to jump around on multiple keyboards and mice to do instances and I'll never go past five boxing. Honestly I have trouble believing that some people actually ten box Naxx as I have died numerous times playing my shaman alone in a guild run. But anyway, I'm trying to point out that I'm older now and don't have the skills of many younger and quite gifted players.

I'm looking for recommendations on what I would term a simple setup to enable me to tank, dps and heal with a five box crew. Just for practical purposes, let's say the same four shaman/pally setup. I need a fairly easy setup to tank, dps and heal (hell, what MB'er doesn't need this). I've listed hardware and software tools below, but the part I just can't really figure out is how to put it all in a good clean package to control it all. I've got three computers/screens to watch it all, but keeping all well oiled and running is tough.

Which toon should I primarily steer the group? Do you drive with the healer in order to use Grid for healing? Do you drive the group with the tank and just keep the others back far enough to dps and heal? I'd really like to hear some suggestions from average players who can at least do heroics and badge runs.

I've got a G15 keyboard, one of those new Razer Naga MMO mice (still haven't opened it though) and a three computer setup. Below is what I was thinking about for the "Old Man" Setup:

New Razer Naga MMO mouse - primary function - tank control and movement. My vision - use the mouse as the primary means of moving the tank around the screen to control the fight location and maintain agro. I figure I can mouse steer easy enough and use the 15 or so buttons to cast whatever tanking abilities are required. Possibly doing this all on say... computer/monitor #3.

G15 Keyboard
- Primary functionality - primary function - movement of remaining forces around the play area and cast dps/healing spells.
The dps part is simple say for instance if I'm using three shaman for dps. What sucks for me is the healing part. l was thinking of maybe setting up the left most G1-6 keys for lesser healing waves, riptides, earthshields, cleanse on the tank and the other G7-xxx keys for other type cleanse/chain heals on the group.

c. Software
- Jamba for basic stuff
- Input Director for KVM control
- Innerspace??? It looks like a great tool, but I can't envision how I would do a tank/dps/heal group with it. I kind of see it more as a great setup for five mages/hunters/whatever setup where everyone does the same thing.

If you have time, please help advise an old man. :)

You can make it easier on yourself by just having good dps/tanking macros set up. I have a single button for tanking and dps'ing which I just mash the whole time. I have 2 healing buttons for healing my tank (lesser healing wave, and riptide) and I have some of my G-Keys assigned to party healing which I have stuck attractive pieces of paper on so I remember which char im healing. Other than that its 1 button for totems, 1 button for heroism, and 1 button for earthshield. Nothing else is really needed till you get to working on complex macros for bosses that 99% of boxers never attempt.

I just started multiboxing, so like yourself I am new. I found that Innerspace works very well for what I need to do. I have a classic pally and 4x elemental shamans. I drive with the paladin and leave the shammies on auto follow. Before a fight starts (in a dungeon like SM) I have the shammies break auto follow and drop totems, then I have the pally pull and tank. If I need to heal, I click on my VuhDo window from my tanks screen to heal whoever. With mouse broadcasting regions (via Innerspace) I can heal from any window of WoW. I think the hardest thing to do is setup your macros, but that is easy enough to setup. I spent a good 2 hours or so setting up the macros and testing them out on training dummies. But once you get that setup, it's smooth sailing. I'd say start with something really simple, and then add in more complexity as the need arrives.

I'm 55 ...

I 36 box ....

You need to figure out how to connect one keyboard and one mouse to your 3 computers and you will be fine.

I use Keyclone but ISboxer is also a proper choice.

Get Jamba.

I use Macaroon and simple minimap and xpearl.

Its all about how you write you macros to minimize hand movement. Im faster then most anyone I play againt but I been boxing for 8 years.

Sadly you cannot get it anymroe but the best controler is the Logitech Marble Trackman FX.

http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=logitech+marble+fx+&_cqr=true&_nkwusc=logictech+marble+fx&_rdc=1

But I doubt it will work with anything past XP (i.e. Vista and Win7).

Im running 4 shaman/1 Pally in AB right now (they are to low to go to AV); you just play your pally like you would normal and have a key for attack (I spec elemental and all the Flame Shock /40 yeards) talents) and another for chain heal and another for call of the elements and one for follow and one for mount and the big button for when you wipe. Thats like 90 percent of everything right there. Put a /follow at the end of your /cast Flame Shock also ti helps even with jamba cause youwill get iced and movement slows etc. all the time.

I only use flame shock for attack on shaman and chain heal for heals so thats simple as can be.

I have no trouble in running up to my oppenet stunning with hammer on pally and unloading 4 SFon them before they even move one inch, then droping CoE on all 4 shaman and just retargeting differnt oppeneints and going with FS again.

I STRONGLY suggest a trackball over a mouse (the new logitech trackball has like 8 buttons), I can play 6 hours np.

A pally and four shammies is a pretty decent group.
I would dual spec one of the shammies.
That gets you either Pally + 4x Elemental or Pally + 1x Resto + 3x Elemental.
You might want the Resto vs challenging content, and the Elemental vs farm/trash etc.

Ensure your pally uses a proper 96969 macro, as that makes everything so much easier.
Basically, put 1 point into Judgements (reduced cooldowns) and do not glyph Consecrate.
Then you pick 1 of Holy Shield, Judgement of Choice and Consecrate as the first 9.
A different one as the 2nd 9. The remaining one as the third 9.
The final macro will be two strings of 96969 - 69696.
For the 6's, just alternate Shield of Righteousness and Hammer of the Righteous.

I like to have Consecrate as my 3rd 9, so I have the option to manually hit Consecrate and it will be ready again by the time the macro calls it.
If you spam the macro, your Holy Shield never falls, and you're using each ability just as it comes off of cooldown.
Have the pally talent which refreshes Divine Plea on a melee hit, and use it before larger pulls.
Pallies are amazing boxed tanks.

Shammies should go with a click castsequence, on the same keybind as the 96969 macro.
With a forum search, you'll find a decent one, or look up Fursphere's Macro thread.
I have all shammies to Lesser Healing Wave on key 4, and all shammies Chain Heal on key 9.

Then have dedicated heals for the Resto only.
Lesser Healing Wave, Healing Wave, Chain Heal, Riptide and Earth Shield.
If the tank was pummeled really hard, the elementals can assist a bit in heals.
But for the most part, a dedicated healer can handle whatever, while the dps just dps's.

Get isboxer and innerspace xperl ummm recount lol dbm a must um vuhdu healing. The basics dont need much more or i dont lol. WIth isboxer when you set up your team u can set up a global key comman to open a repeater region for your characters. What this allows is the following.

Vuhdu you will set up the same on every char. Next youll open the gui using ur new command. Set it up on main then hit sync. Then close. Now set up vuhdu so your healers heals our all tied to the mouse buttons.

This means when your on your tank and u scroll over the vuhdu character list all screens will show a hand pointing. Make sure they are exact same. In turn you can click say right mouse button while on tanks screen and ur healer will cast healing wave on whoever your clicking on your tanks screen.

So say ill post a ss to help a little understand by pics like me i love pics helps a lot.
