I'm getting ready to make individual battle.net accounts for each of my accounts, I've already made 8 google email accounts.

Anyone think this is a bad idea like I'll never be able to transfer characters again?
I'm trying to move my level 80s around so I get a nice distribution of them before I make the switch.

< i will never go to blizzcon and get a pet there >

I'm not sure why you would want 8 separate battle nets...

So that he can still login simultaneously with a FOB (Wow Security Device) is why he's going with 8 separate Bnet accounts,

There is little current drawback to having 8 accounts other than having to wait the 60 days before being able to transfer between accounts.

Drawbacks
1. Loss of any benefits of having your accounts on one Bnet (as they start adding them other than the easy transfer of Characters)

2. That at some point in the future that they may still end the Simultaneous Login with a FOB

There are a bunch of threads floating around like this, and I've kinda stayed way from them. I don't understand why people would want multiple battle.net accounts. For me, the only negative thing I have to say about battle.net is the Authenticator change. Logging in / getting DC'd is a huge hassle. But not 5 battle.net accounts hassle. I also like the instant / near instant account to account transfers and having pets on all my toons instead of just 1 or 2. It's also much easier when posting to the WoW forums (I'm kinda active on my realm forums) and it's easier to look up / manage account info.

when you do the character transfer from one account to another is it the paid character transfer? or is it free since it's all on the same battlenet account?

it's paid. No account to account transfer has ever been free. Realm transfers maybe. Not acct to acct.

I was just worried about having to logon for 2.5+ minutes waiting for new authenticator numbers.
Per say, I have 9 accounts and have to have more than one bnet account anyway.
instant logon of 9 toons or up to 4.5 minutes of waiting for new numbers.

Honestly I'd count on blizzard "fixing" it if you can use the authenticator on more than 1 account at the same time the same way they did for battle net accounts.

I have five accounts on two battlenet logins, with one authenticator. Obviously three on one, two on the other. When logging all five at once, I find that I only have to wait about 30 seconds at the most to log in the next account. Sometimes I can get away with using the same number if I am fast enough. The sole reason I have the two battlenet accounts is to double my chances for Blizzard beta invites and I had two email accounts at the time.

What I do find to be a pain with the two battlenet accounts is remembering were all the alts are. I have org chart showing were everyone is at.:p

ROFL

I often visit the forums and hit "Select Character" just to hunt down an alt.

One B.Net per one wow account is what I've done.

Currently you can log in with a single authenticator code.
Which is the main reason.

You lose the features of an integrated account management.
Which is new with the B.Net account thing.

So essentially your choice is:

(A)
Pro - The new features of an integrated account management.
Con - +30 second to log in, per account after the first.

(B)
Pro - Retain logging in all at once.
Con - Account management as its been for the last 4 years (ie no integrated improvements).
