anyone have gone out of their way to obtain any "more rare" land (100%) mounts?

I have been farming ZG forever, now I want 3 tigers :D

was also thinking about having a druid friend, and doing heroic seth halls once a day to get 3 raven lord mounts.

I have the Headless Horseman's mount and the Raven Lord on my tank. One warlock has the white chocobo. Other than that ... farming mounts is pretty tough. :) Definitely doable but you'd probably spend most of your WoW-playing career farming 'em.

I wish I had the mindset to be able to farm mounts and pets cuz they look really cool. I just can't stand doing things over and over for a random drop that doesn't directly benefit my teams. Heroics eventually leads to some type of upgrade for my team so I keep doing them. Tired of dailies but you need gold for the gems you eventually put into said gear.

Lol, it's a viscious cycle. I could probably convince myself to do it for the old world mats that still sell for alot on the AH but I hate the AH.

Ya I farmed HH mount every day on 2.5 teams and I have to say that I burned myself out on that. I did get one mount, but shit it was just awful killing that guy over and over and over. I dont see myself farming anymore mounts, lol.

Before faction change came out I was simply leveling a mage, shaman and a priest. As soon as I reached the level I could take the quest I worked on Wintersaber Trainers for the Frostsaber mount. It was quite the grind as I didn't do the drop quest for the rep, only the two kill quests once they were available.

I have contemplated getting the mounts for my DK and second shaman, but not quite that bored yet. :)

I ran kara once with my shamans (just to farm for that mongoose recipe) and was surprised I got that firehorse. Very first time I went there as a boxer. And then got my recipe in the same run!

I would love to have those tigers, though but am not going to farm for pets for the entire team!

8/15 of my 80s have the Brewfest kodo and my lock has the Headless Horseman mount. That's about as much rare mount farming I've done so far. I should buy epic training on the druid and farm Ravenlord, I should farm H MGT for the white Chocobo, I should go farm ZG for both mounts, I should go farm kara for the Attunmen mount, however I'm way too lazy. What gets me the most is that I know my teams can do H CoS in the required time for the Bronze Drake, however I always miss it by a minute or two. :(

Keep working at it, upgrade a few pieces of gear on your tank and you will be surprised how easy CoS can be... overgeared tanks make everything easy(well and so do overgeared dps lol.)

Yeah i farmed the HH and Brewfest mounts just because there were other items that I also wanted. I think I will just continue to attempt selling my summons for those next year. Who knows.

I got 5 brewfest kodo mounts, and my main has HH mount. (I did both events all days, for 2 years.
Other then that I farm ZG, and have been doing so since 3 months before wotlk. (still not a singel mount)

I have to say do, I don't care about my slaves mount, aslong as it's not a wolf (or horse when i was alliance)
I mean, ofcourse it would be cool to have 5xZG tigers, but every mount that would be cool x5 is very low % - or expensive (5 spectral anyone?)
But I still like to have decent looking mounts on my Main.

Do you loot along the way ? When I stopped looting regular mobs, the anoying thing stopped despawning while I was running at him or in mid-fight. That let me farm the orange drakes, which is the only mount I specifically farmed.

The last couple of times CoS was the heroic of the day, I found out that I can now loot and get to him in time. Better DPS I presume.

Oh yeah, them too! I farmed 5 bronze drakes from CoS, but I had to give my warlocks Flasks of the Frost Wyrm to pull it off. Actually, the effect was huge enough that I always run HToC with flasks now. It's not quite the difference between life and death but does make it a lot easier.

Below is a list of all my 80s with their wowheroes scores. I believe the gear is is there, just need to work on the dps macros. Semi-important note, I do know that not every piece of gear is enchanted. I play more attention to my tanks and healers. >.>

3 of my 5 level 80's have the Attumen mount. One of the other two has the ZG mount.

Every week, it only takes about half an hour to portal to Stonard, run to Kara and clear that boss, then zone out and run to ZG and clear the tiger boss. In ZG you can run past ALL the trash if done right, so you only have to clear the boss.

I've been doing this about a year now, so 4 mounts out of about 50 runs is actually above the average drop rate, so I've just been lucky.

I have a daily routine that includes Anzu, Magister's Terrace, ZG and Kara. The latter two, of course, are done only when raid lockouts permit. I'm really wanting to Anzu mount more than any of the other ones.

After I WG today, I'll be up to 93/100 possible mounts for the 100 mount achievement.

I got a new one to farm time lost protodrake. Now farm that badboy for your 5 man team. I bet you after one day ull quit lol. I tried it on a solo toon and you know what only time i saw it 4 times in all it was dead grrr.

I have Mountain of Mounts on my main, but I don't bother mount farming for the other team members.

If you are looking for mount bling buy the ground and flying Argent Tourney mounts, they look nice and not everyone has them.

I haven't really concentrated on mounts much.
That is to say special looking mounts.

I really try to get all my toons the best riding skill they can, as early as they qualify.
But a standard mount is good enough for me.

The exception would be the Draenei elephants, they usually get a pvp mount.
Just because getting stuck on every doorway in the game gets a bit old fast.

Yes and at first I liked the Mammoth mounts but doorways made me nerdrage.
