Dragon Age: Origins

Has anyone played it? It's released today here in Sweden, and I was thinking of buying it. From what I have seen the reviews have been great. I heard the combat is more of NWN..which I didn't really like, but I do like the story in NWN.

The biggest question is just when I will find time to play it :P

Jag har bara hunnit spela typ ett par timmar, men är du ett fan av Baldurs gate så kommer du gilla det, bra game play, inte märkt några buggar än, (kom bara ihåg att maxa grafiken annars ser det lite bedrövligt ut haha) men jag tror du skulle gilla det om du gillar Baldurs gate-style Rpg's

I am playing it. If you expect it to have graphics on par with oblivian or some newer RPSs, you will be disappointed. That is the ONLY bad thing i can say about it and its not that bad at all. i love the look and feel of the game. It has a really deep and compelling story and great voice over dialog. I always play these games on easy because I'm in to seeing the story unfold, more than the 'challenge" of each combat encounter. On easy, the combat is fast and colorful, gory as well ( love it ! )

If you love story telling in your RPGs, you will love this game. The game play is great as well, but it is the story that makes this game great!

I caved in and bought it on the way home from work :-) I'm just not sure how I will spend my time with multiboxing and playing other games :confused:

This game is definitely one of the best I have played in years. I haven't played WoW except to do my cooldowns and run the daily heroic since I got it 4 days ago.

Great combat, great story, and I love the whole choose your own adventure feel to it. The fact that your choices have a real impact on everything, from your companions opinion of you to the way the story unfolds is simply amazing. And also the replay value is through the roof, since you can completely change the story depending upon your starting race/class, and through your choices. Can't wait to finish it simply so I can start another play through.

I've just played a little while, but the story so far has been craptastic on the human warrior side. Everyone is telling me that it will get better, so I guess I'll just continue to grind my teeth and hope for some miracle.

I'm about two hours into it. The thing that stands out for me is the script. The quality of the dialog writing is almost as good as a movie or book. It's probably the best I've ever seen in a game.

Despite that, I think the story drags. I keep muttering to the screen, "Hurry up."

I dont like the combat. I dislike it so much that I set the game to easy mode so I only have to fight as little as possible.

This impression is based on only two hours so maybe I'll think differently later on .... if I get to later on. I dislike the combat so much, I haven't looked at the game in three days.

the only problem i have is that as i continue to play, load times get longer and longer. ive sat at a load screen for as much as 20 min. i havent been able to figure out a cause either, kinda makes me sad.

other than that, it is indeed an awesome game. while i agree that the graphics arent great, theyre still pretty decent. great story, lots of dialog (which is boring for me, but thats easy to bypass with a simple press of the esc key), and good voice acting (except for some of the dwarves. i tend to raise an eyebrow at a couple of em when they talk). i like that i can control the other characters in the party solely. the tactics is great too. took me a min or two to figure it out, but its an indispensible tool to playing. i also like the interaction of the other party members while running around doing things, helps give it a little sense of realism.

My husband's been playing it since it came out. I've been listening to him play while I do the WoW thing, waiting patiently for my turn. Now my CT is acting up too much for multiboxing, so it's my turn by default :p
