For those of you who use this fantastic piece of hardware, better start hunting them down... I'm gonna snatch up another 2 of them.

Pretty much the same thing but better.

It isn't a hardware failure that folks are worried about. It is the against the wall mechanical failure. :)

I have one of the new performance mx darklaser mice. Boy is it nice. Works on that glass desk that you have fursphere.

Logitech builts shit to last. I wouldn't worry about your mice just up and dying.while i agree. i have experienced some issues with my mx. first one decided it wouldnt charge anymore, and my current one has clickin issues (which i fixed by adding a little piece to the inside).

I'd lose my forward/backwards movement functionality, either that or I'd lose autorun/vent key...

most logitech mouses are fine, mx1000, mx revo, g7/g5, but the against the wall failure is indeed a strong downside to the pricing :D

Just picked up a spare on the cheap. Now I'm curious if both will work off the same usb dongle... never having to worry about having a charged mouse would be handy.

I'd say chain it to your desk, but a buddy of mine tossed his CORDED mouse and because of the way the wire was run across the desk it bounced and swung right into his 24" monitor.. completely destroying the screen.

Mouse was fine though. lol

Yes my mice are always cordless now and they go the opposite direction of the monitor.... that was an expensive lesson /cry
