So, I was grinding Kurenai rep because I'm crazy and turning the beads in for consortium rep, when I spy a few hordies (lowbie priest, 69 hunter, and some sort of warlock). Now, no hordies are usually dumb enough to fight me so I leave them alone since I was about to spend several hours and didn't really care to pvp.

Next thing I know I see them fighting a priest who's taking them on 3v1. Seeing as I was there, I killed them and rezzed the priest.

Some moments later, I find one of my shaman sapped. I lay my totems, consecrate, and the 70 rogue cloak of shadows/vanishes on me before I can do more than one chain lightning. The hunter sneaks up from behind, tries to sic his pet and run away, but the chain lightning managed to reach him while the rogue started stabbing away again. BoP the shammy, dps the rogue, and we've got two dead horde.

Next thing you know...

I never saw the rogue again, killed the lock a couple times when I could find him, and the hunter and priest thought it was fun to watch me kill things with mind vision/farsight. Anyway, I never died, but I do hope he posts his fraps video. I want to add it to my stage6 collection.

lol. you gotta love that. I also love how you let him know to kick back just so when he kept bugging you and talking crap you could report him for the verbal harassment.

people are pretty stupid, every time i run thru a capital city i can nearly garantee a "hah i got you now, screenshotted you botting" i always reply no its not botting its multi-boxing, im in control of all 5 characers, responce is like "no its botting it isnt fair....reported" normally conversation ends with, "if i was a botter do you really think i would be stupid enough to walk into a city doing it?"

noone ever replies to that, i guess it wakes them up to how dumb the comments they made are.

Even IF we were botting... do all of these people really believe that the people that are actually botting are scared of getting caught by scrubs with fraps. I can just picture them at their computers all smug as they type their gotcha messages while they imagine the terror they are supposably inflicting on botters... makes me want to throw-up.

the biggest difference between botters and boxers, other than the obvious is you can kill a botter very easily :p

When this happens I just don't like how you never really know what punishment they get.

We know that verbal harrassment is against TOS and all that, but it'd be so sweet to know that they got taught their lesson. I think it'd also help teach other people that it's not something to joke about to falsely accuse people of something you may not be completely sure about.

I'm sure Blizzard staff really get annoyed with the "OMG I CAUGHT A BOTTER, I AM LEET" false alarms. And they can only be getting more numerous now that boxing is becoming more and more common.

I know it's very likely that I'll never run into this kind of situation with my 2 toons. No one really ever notices the twins. I guess that's fine overall, but meh.. I want my "wow, you really are a moron" spotlight too.

I think the only thing I would've done in the begining would've been when he said "Hey dude" to replay with "dudette, at least get my ginder right" or something smart ass like that to throw him off.

Haha Vyndree, I haven't had one of those in a while. Usually I'm so nice to the poor fools that by the end of the conversation they're asking how they can multibox, too!

The people who accuse you of botting are funny, but the funniest are the people who accuse you of "cloning your character". WTF is cloning your character? lol
Hand in hand with that are the people who ask if you need multiple accounts. /facedesk

Well this is the first time I've had some sort of proof of cross-faction hatred. I have a pretty standard non-pvp policy while leveling - I only defend myself or others, but once attacked they're on my KoS list forever.

This is pretty much to keep me from going PvP crazy instead of leveling. It takes 4 70's in pvp gear to take me down... when I was level 64-65.

My least favorite type of ganker is the one that sits just out of reach on their flying mount and never gets stupid enough to fly closer. Damn stalkers. You can never feel safe if you're always glancing at the sky to see if they're coming down yet, and it's not like I can chase them into the sky. I usually call in Suvega for those ones. Not much can escape the slowfall pom pyro x3/4

No doubt we all probably get that from time to time. I don't even bother responding anymore if I get a snide remark. I hope they do report me, bother the GM instead. My setup isn't chat friendly anyway.

these are my favorites, the 70 alliance guy on flying mount following you and he gets just a little too close and the next thing he knows is 4 Pom Pyro's to the FACE. Let us know if he posts in your realm forums and we will come give him crap.

I don't get that many tells just ppl asking me if i'm a bot mainly which I ignore. I was thinking the other day it might be a laugh to make a macro to use when someone asks/calls you a bot. "Sorry, I don't understand the question, can you please re-phrase that." Then hit that after every tell...see how many tells you can get from the same person. :)

It's usually one of three things. Somebody who harasses you and acts like an asshole, people who are just curious about what you are doing and the people you save from bad gankings who are now your friends forever :D

Vyn's the reason I'm going to quinbox. I was in felwood on my druid and seen what I thought was 5 shamans walking around. Was like that has to be against the rules, checked myself instead of reporting like an idiot. Found out it was legit, searched google, found this. That's it. Btw, I'm horde and didn't get the honor of being owned by Vyn.

I'll argue with any horde that give you trouble. Still have 10 hours left on the account. Just collecting money for the initial 1-60.

I've had my main added to about 5 people's friends list following abuse. Lol botter, or wft hax or whatever. Up till now I always /w back to explain, and many people end up pretty interested, several have been monitoring my progress and /w ing me regularly since.

The haters often become lovers when they know the deal it seems.

Oh, I respond back politely enough but I never respond well to threats. They can report me and stfu and have a GM explain the rules to them, they can ask me nicely and get a nice response, or they can refuse to stfu get reported for harassment.

Their choice, really. :)

I've had numerous botter, cheater, etc comments thrown at me. Even people asking me how I do it just so they can post it in their petitions.

However, the most surprising of all was someone that came back to me and apologized for accusing me of cheating after a GM spoke to them and explained that multi-boxing is perfectly legit. I even removed this guy from my ignore list.

For some reason, being called a botter really gets under my skin.

I have the same policy...like a blowfish, looks nice but NEVER TOUCH ME otherwise I bite you :)

Interesting, I admit I have hit only a couple of morons who refuse understand I am not botting. I hit all of them in the classic content.

On the other foot, this weekend was pretty cool. I got a lot of cheers from players on both factions. I helped both horde and alliance groups at ring of blood (I waited till the place was clear so I could see if i could "solo" it). I also got a bunch of questions about what I was doing. And for some reason I always get people wanting to duel one of the five? I mean why would you bother? /confused

Up to Nagrand I only drew a liitle attention... I get a few followers in Shatt, but the lag there is bad for a single box setup so I rarely go in with the full team. So this weekend was an eye opener.

My team is setup for PvE, so PvP is not something I go looking for. Although I do have my 5 shaman team setup (lvl 6), in case I want to level another team up.
