Aion Boxing

Couldn't decide if this was better in software or here. Decided here since it's specific to Aion.

I don't box much in Aion, mostly because I just got into a solo groove, but I have downloaded the latest IS dev release and was able to launch with my custom bin settings I'd tried before Lax got the Aion code working. I'll do my best to report how things work in the next couple days as I'll likely start a new dual team to test the new code out. Tonight's unscheduled downtime prevent much more than just launching.

Anyone else using IS/ISBoxer for Aion or want my configs?

Do you get a random "not available in your country" message ? I do get it and I have to relaunch sometimes to make it go away... this is using the command line on

Any specific reason you chose ISboxer? Is this the software that lets you run multiple instances on a single computer? I forget which one enabled that.

I tried tri and dual boxing for a while (never got past L17). Just couldn't be bothered with all the gathering and quest accepting/turn ins. I think I have just gotten really lazy since all the changes in WoW that made boxing easy. However, I think part of my problem was also the classes I chose. Some class combinations were definitely better than others. So, I highly recommend putting some thought into that if you're not choosing the same class.

For boxing, I used 2-3 computers and a wireless keyboard synced to all computers. I never bothered to work it out with Keyclone or any other software.

ISBoxer doesn't currently adjust the 2 client limit per PC in Aion if that's what your question is, though I might add that. But yeah ISBoxer works great running multiple instances on the same PC

You never get "not available in your country" ? how do you launch the Aion.bin exactly ?

Also how could you lift the 2 client limit - I doubt it's something trivial like a counter in a file you could virtualize - it's probably more involved than that (and would probably be against the TOS to change)

Botters are in a basket? It must be the ignore basket because I have yet to see them do anything to gold sellers or botters. I would happily never dual box the game if thats what it took for NCSoft to actually hold people to the TOS, but I have no faith in the company anymore.

That said, I don't advocate violating the TOS. I've read the TOS and there is nothing to rule out boxing in the agreement. Any boxers getting banned are either violating some other rule or getting unlucky from NCSoft. If I get banned for boxing, I'll just stop playing ;)

As for my settings, sorry for not replying to my own thread earlier, I've been stuck in bed for a few days with a nasty flu.

My guess is you aren't passing the params and it doesn't know what language to use. Let me know if this works.

I got the params by looking at the command line args to the Aion processes in task manager and trying things until I got it to work. It should be enu, since that's what NC uses for the language files.

ps: I tried your exact command line and I still get "cannot be run in your country" randomly about half the launches - I'm curious how come you don't ever see that message and I do - what innerspace does differently than hkn

I'd still be careful Aion Ayase made it crystal clear during beta that anyone broadcasting keys of any kind using hardware or software would be considered a violation of their TOS and banned for "botting"

One of the main reasons I never gave it a shot.

I wouldn't call that thread clear - but I guess maybe it's not clear - personally - I told them what I'm doing - they said it's ok - if they change their mind I'll pay some other game instead - so far I'm still multiboxing aion (well... I got some wow $5 raf going on actually... )
