I'm almost done levelling my PvP team and considering how to get a set of PvP gear. With 3.3 coming up, will furious gear will purchasable with badges (triumph) and honor without rating requirement? I'm asking since I figure it's a bit of a waste farming my ass off to buy a deadly set and then having 3.3 hit :-)

You will get a crap ton more "triumph" badges, since doing the "random" heroic will net you 2 triump at it's completion. They are not going to drop triumph normally I do not believe though.

All bosses that drop Conq badges now will drop triumph after 3.3. The Daily Heroic" will reward two frost badges. The random heroics will DROP triumph badges and reward 2 more when completed ( like you said )

I tried to find a link to support my claim, but i have read what i said a few times by blues. I'm sure a search could find it. Also the NORMAL dungon daily will reward 2 emblems of triumph ( just the daily )

I found this on the new dungon system page ( bliz site ) I like the last part about getting rewards for the pre wrath dungon rewards while leveling!>>

"Players or groups can choose specific dungeons or they can instead take their chances with a random Heroic or random normal dungeon. Picking randomly conveys some additional benefits. If you defeat the final boss in a dungeon, you receive 2 Emblems of Frost for Heroic dungeons and 2 Emblems of Triumph for normal dungeons. In addition, after players have received 2 Emblems of Frost for the first Heroic dungeon they do in a day, they will earn 2 Emblems of Triumph for each additional random Heroic dungeons in that day. These random rewards replace the current daily dungeon and daily Heroic dungeon quests. The current NPCs who offer those quests will offer weekly repeatable raid quests instead. You can also earn level-appropriate rewards for running random pre-Wrath of the Lich King dungeons while you are leveling up. "

Every expansion or major patch, we get slightly better gear (or in the case of Burning Crusade, incredibly superior gear)...

Pretty good business model, anyone who took the time to gear up, will likely do so again, and yet it is almost a reset, in that a fresh 80 was on fairly even footing with the top 70 raider on the server of their class, upon freshly dinging 80th.

Sure a content patch isn't exactly the same thing, but still ToC > Ulduar > Naxx level loot.

Yeah, that also makes more sense compared to previous major patches. Guess I'll just farm a PvE suit for my shammies and wait to farm PvP gear once the patch hits. Is the patch ETA known?
