I don't see a new 80 boss like Direbrew and HHM {thank the gods....I'll never get anywhere with my alts if they keep throwing limited time bosses at me}, but there's a level 70 achievement {which of course will require that you be Ulduar geared if you plan to try and get a PUG for it, lol}. Anybody else starting to feel like the in-game holiday season is as chaotic and never-ending as the real ones? :eek:

I've decided to only work on hoilday achivements with my main shaman group and not care about it on any of my other teams. So after this holiday, thankfully I can go back to just worrying about leveling up and gearing all my noob teams.

I want to get all jobs (except warrirors) up to at least level 60, so I have my work cut out for me. hehe

edit: nm I see your link now, lol. This reminds me of someone spamming LFG yesterday. Something like this:

[4. LookingForGroup] [Warrior] LFM Mana Tombs 2 plate items on reserve pst with achieve or dont bother. Must know all fights. Need GS of 1300. Fresh clear need 1 dps and 1 heals. Dont suck. Full on warriors.

Had everyone in LFG laughing their asses off.

editx2: I have no plans to do this Achieve as its not part of the Meta. I already hate HH for making me kill him everyday for a very small chance at a mount... just sick of achieves for the moment.

Yeah, it's getting ridiculous, isn't it? Nobody will take a single chance at a wipe these days, they act like wiping is going to kill their dog, or haunt them the rest of their lives. Everything is so datamined, nobody will run an instance just to see what it's like, or do quests unless "its' worth it". I would LOVE to see Blizz encrypt the data somehow, so people have to actually run bosses a lot to know what they drop, it's pretty sad that people only run the exact bosses that have the drops they want, and will bail on a group after they get it, or they'll "reserve" gear. No, if I'm on the run, and I can use it, I'm rolling on it. Granted, if someone reserved a pug, I would'nt join. And, I don't pug anymore. :)

The big drama on my server is HH summons - lots of desperation as the final day draws near. 4 of my slaves have the original summons, I was thinking about selling them tomorrow, make a little gold, ya know? :) I can sell 1 run each with 2 summons, and the 5th has one.

People are just taking things too seriously. Some people were playing around with focusing crystals in Dalaran the other day, seeing how high up they could get in the buildings and tag people. Some dbags were actually complaining in chat, saying "Don't you have something better to do?" I mean, COME ON. It's fun, it's harmless, and it looks cool. Jerks.

As for the holidays, I'm over it. Honestly, I havent run the HH at all since last week, the helm and mount are cool, but I'll live not having them, I'm more focused on other things right now, and I'm just getting my treat bag whenever I'm in town. It's cool.

Another holiday is fine with me - it's something to do to break up the grind, and it's nice in that it helps spread the players around, the lag in Dalaran has been a little better with everyone down at Scarlet Monestary.

I also hate the HH. 12 days times 10 attempts per day has yielding me a ton of everything but the mount. 7 of the 10 have sinister calling achievement (over 15 pets just not enough hallowed helms) and 8 swords and at least 10 plate helms.

Seems the cloth helm is more rare than the pet. At least that is what I have gathered from my attempts. Oh and speaking of people knowing what drops on what boss... take ToC, one of the best in slot items drops from the first boss (caster dagger) and I routinely have people either A. ninja the item (raid leader or RL forgets ML) and bail or B. win the item legit and bail.

Why would they leave if they won the item? I dont know, but its happened 3 times now, you would think they would want the emblems or the loot from Anub....

I like the holiday stuff. It keeps me playing! I've been off beating up status quo-violators in Champions Online, but still do HH runs with my girlfriend every night. I wouldn't be surprised (and wouldn't mind) if there was always some kind of limited-time achievement-focused event going on. It would be eeeevil of Blizzard to lock the OCD crowd in like that, but still fun.

The HH hasn't been too forthcoming this year. We stopped bothering swapping in my druid team after the warlock summons were burned, because I don't play my druids too well and wipes are not unusual ... but we've still got six summons a day, and so far no mount. I'll be sad for the girl if we don't get one at all. The luck of the drop on a limited-time boss like this seems really unforgiving, and could be a bad MMO mechanic that hasn't become obvious yet. If you run, say, the Raven Lord regularly, night after night, you will *eventually* have a Raven Lord. The drop rate is horrible but you'll definitely, absolutely get one. If you run HH night after night, you may not be so lucky -- once the event is over for the year, you have to face the fact that your dilligent effort will remain unrewarded. And this is with six summons a night.

Couldn't agree more that the Holiday stuff is getting more and more stressful like the real thing, kind of ridiculous.
Sigh...And they don't even send us a real turkey dinner....that's at least motivation to show up during holidays...good food...

The endless requirement to link an achievement to be allowed into any event.
Along with gear checks, etc.

It makes me glad I can field an entire group myself.

It makes me sad, a friend has left wow because of this crap.
Although EQ1, starting from scratch, he'll probably be back.
Lords of the Ring did not hold him long, and he already quit EQ once.

Yeah I dont even answer those "link your achievement" LFG request, its stupid no one can get anything done if you just had the bad luck of being unable to get said achievements. And like others man am I glad I can fill my own group up with no worries.

And honestly I like the holiday thing, I am not raiding or anything like that just getting on for a couple of hours a day sometimes i dont even get on so these holiday things keep me coming back.
