Joined the group. I was pleasantly surprised to find out my employer unblocked facebook.

/Gadzooks!!!!!!!

I still do all my business on the iPhone. Except the dual-boxing group page had some errors in Safari and the facebook app wouldn't locate the group at all.

This is abit off-topic, but I would think twice about that Facebook account.
I regret opening one in the first place, it's not something you can just delete and be rid of.

From a security perspective, Facebook is a dream come true to all secret police and intelligence agencies of all time. Some have heard about Gestapo and how they had a file on most citizens, it pales in comparison to Facebook. The crazy part is we do surveilance on eachother for others to use. Be it criminals or other.

And from a more down to earth standpoint, would you like your future employer to riffle through Facebook-profiles, including yours, and from there choose possible candidates to hire?

I dont mean to bash facebook, I just think people should be abit more careful with it.

Most adults should know what is proper and safe to post online. Those same adults should instruct their children on what is appropriate also. Although the youth of our world will continue to do stupid things, it is inevitable.

If you're stupid enough to post stupid shit on there, you deserve whatever comes from it.

It's not just posting pics of you and your 30 pot plants in your basement that can get you in trouble.

The US air force and army both encourage the use of facebook. They did a study a little while ago the consisted of looking at the mood people posted in their profile. They were trying to see if people who set it to negative things like anxious, nervous and sad were more likely to experience problems when returning from deployment.

I'm doing my own reverse study though, mine is permanently set to angry, just to see if I get deployed less :P So far it hasn't worked.

I'll be sending an invite out tomorrow

The biggest problem in my opinion is, others can post stupid things of you and it will be just as harmful. Who can honestly say none of their friends never has and never will do anything stupid?

Well, there's a lot of things you can do to prevent things like that Pycno. For instance, you can set your profile to completely private, which in all honesty, if you don't, you're retarded. AND you can UNTAG yourself from pictures if your stupid friends post stupid pictures up(which is actually fairly new with the whole design of Facebook, when it first came out, you couldn't untag yourself).

but, if somone googles you the data still shows up, its cheaper too just store the data than too delete it.
