I am in need of help creating my /click macro for my Shaman. My dps appears to be really low considering my gear, mix of badge and raid gear. My DPS is usually in the low 3k on raid bosses, on heroics around 4k, sometimes I see 5k. I see Niley's and others posted DPS and I think I might be doing something wrong. My Macro below based on about 4 clicks/sec.

Any help, tips, advice would be appreciated...perhaps I'm enchanted, gemmed, specced incorrectly, I have no idea. I have researched and picked what I believe to be a more or less cookie cutter spec, gemmed and enchanted what I believe to be correct. I am at a loss, or perhaps my dps is where is should be.

I'd make sure to drop ToW on every toon, even if your totem macro will drop different fire totems.
The extra spell damage is very worthwhile.
I like your glyph choices, although the Lightning isn't huge, after Lava and ToW glyphs, there aren't any that stand out as much better then the others.
As far as timing your macro's.
You need to adjust for your own personal clicking speed.
One way to do this, is to physically move the other three macro's off of their button slots.
So for example, only Flame Shock macro is in place to be called.
See if you refresh it, just as it expires.
Add comma's if its up still when it refreshes.
Remove comma's if there's a delay.
Once Flame Shock is fine, do the same with Lava Burst.
You won't actually have to adjust the timing on the Lightning Bolt, as it is the fall through.
But you should verify that is actually does cast.
As far as heroics go, you only need 80's or 90's (relatively low amount), when combined with all of the hit talents available, especially if you're a Draenei.
In heroic content, if your toons are raid hit-capped, then you are wasting a very large amount of itemization. For raids, you need a lot more hit, to reach cap. Until you're hit capped for the content you're doing, that's the best bang for your buck. Once you are capped for the content you're doing, spell power is the most beneficial stat, but crit is good too.
Mana per 5 will help sustained dps, but won't do anything for short term dps.
I personally prioritize Hit (until capped for content) > Spell Power > Crit > MP5 > Haste.
Talents will differ depending on how much you pvp or not.
However, I don't see any for PvE content which you should have but don't.
I really like faster Grounding totems, but that doesn't impact your DPS a whole lot.

Furshpere, I neglected to mention that I had just spent a couple hours on the training dummies trying to tune the macros but was not making any headway, so I came here for a little bit of advice. Thanks for offering something though.
Ualaa, I'm thinking it could be my talents, I will have to go through them and verify, since I don't pvp on these toons. I have gone through and made sure flame shock is refreshed as soon as it expires, and lava burst casts as soon as it is up, so I was at a loss as to why I could not eek out any more DPS (again, I should have mentioned that in my orginal post, sorry Furshpere). Thank you for taking the time to reply and I appreciate any advice I can get.

Spec is fine
Glyphs are fine
Running a comparison against Niley is not that wise. Niley's gear is quite a bit better than yours and Im assuming you do not have a warlock to boost your dps numbers either.
Another thing is you are over the hit cap and some of your gems/enchants are wasted because of it - hit rating for raids as a Draenei shaman is 342 for heroics it is 53. You can see a lot of your itemisation is wasted for heroics so someone that optimises for heroics should post bigger numbers
Last thing your gear and gem choices are not great. In general (warning over simplification here) you should go
hit (to cap) > spell power > haste >> crit >> everything else
(Haste is about twice as good as crit until you reach the soft cap where LvB,CL have a 1s cast time)
Bearing this in mind there are several upgrades available to you from non raid sources.
you should never gem for crit or spell pen in pve (there are some gimicky fights where spell pen is beneficial but not many - a raider may be better to advise you on this as I do not know the Northrend encounters) and you should (in general) ignore blue sockets unless you need it to activate your meta

Actually I do run with a Lock. My team makeup is Prot Pally, Shammy, Mage, Lock, Priest. I'm thinking of swapping one for an idle Druid, but I'm not sure if I want to try to handle eclipse procs. Currently running mage as Frostfire, so I'm able to handle the hotstreak procs reasonable well.
I'll swap out some gems and bring him down closer to the raid hit cap...perhaps I'll mess around and bring him down to the heroic hit cap just to see what kind of numbers I can get in heroics. I use this toon as my main for raiding though so I'd like to bring his raiding numbers up a fair bit. I've messed around with manual rotations for solo play, but I find my numbers actually drop, so obviously I need to work on my manual rotation.
Thanks again for the advice, I'll definately swap out some gems, and look for some non-raid gear upgrades.

Get two sets of gear, optimize one set for raiding and the other for heroics.

I like Outfitter because you can keybind the outfits.
Also probably because I've been used to using it for 3 years or so.
The in-game gear manager is an option to.
You're unlikely to want to change gear in a fight, so opening a window and clicking something isn't much of an issue.
Plus in game options won't break in future patches nor do they consume ram, or cause conflicts etc.

You don't need to open anything to change gear. I just made a macro for all my toons

This way when I'm doing jousting dailies or Trial, they put the lance in Jamba Items, CTRL NumPad1 to equip the lance on everyone, PageUp to swap back to their real gear.
