I still have to fraps arena games tonight, but here are some PVP videos I took of my shaman / warlock teams this week. They are unedited just raw footage - no highlight reel but I'm sure it's interesting to watch. I'll upload some edited videos of arena tomorrow if my priest shows up tonight.

Here are the HD clips I've uploaded so far. Includes a couple warlock 5v5 games, and a full arathi basin on the shaman team :)

i'd never go into an arena without sound on. i dont even go in if the vacuum cleaner is on

even in the sewers when the waterfall comes down and it kind of drowns out your sound i feel uneasy

how the hell do you play without sound?

why the hell would you play without sound?

No music I understand, I usually have it turned off... but sound? Awareness is significantly reduced, and IMO WoW has very cool sound effects (but not so much music).

Oh and I might add I can't stand WoW videos with the sound turned off. Even when the music is good. Although 90% of the time, WoW videos without sound have either death metal (for the americans) or euro trance (for the euros).

In general, I play with sound off.
Basically had an issue at one point where I was crashing from something.
Adding -nosound to my executable removed the issue.
I got used to no sound in warcraft.

Then farming crap or leveling with stupid collection quests became super boring.
So had a Keyclone window set up, where I had smaller slave windows along the top.
And then two large windows (half a 30" widescreen monitor) along the bottom.
Active window in the left, and window media player for a dvd in the right.

WoW doesn't crash with sound on, but I've gotten used to having either music or a dvd going, and sound interfere's with either.

I love to see boxers in action.
The quality was good, which is a huge bonus.

I thought you were trying as dot spec. I don't see a point in destro when they are basically shaman without totems.

I thought you were trying as dot spec. I don't see a point in destro when they are basically shaman without totems.

Couple things, ya I was affliction - and on paper I still feel affliction has a stronger potential eventually. Destro is very similar to elemental except with a few really nice tricks: mass CC, not worrying about absorb/resist effects, and setting up portals 30 yards away to create a perfect kill shot on a spinning warrior. Also nether protection is a godsend against cleave comps. Overall it might be similar to elemental, but it actually feels very new and refreshing playing these guys in either spec. Lots of crap to watch with all the pet CC and fears to handle.

Totems? Ya you're absolutely right. I would never run destro without totems, but I'm running with the top pvp resto shaman on our server, and his single tremor is catching a lot of fears (surprisingly). Heroism also makes for some nasty destro dmg.

The real problem is spellpower. Until my gear gets better and I break ~2500 spellpower my dots are just barely healable by better teams. I'm at ~2050 right now and it just lacks the punch to create big healing pressure on the other team. I suppose it's very comparable to a single player warlock with 2000 spellpower, affliction is not really an option because their DOTs are so weak, so most locks go destro to rely on burst instead. But really well geared warlocks with 2700+ spellpower are starting to run affliction more these days, and if you've been hit by one... they hurt bad. I'm hoping the same will be true of my team. Hit 1800, get weapons and gear up for a month or so - then go affliction and melt people.

pummle/kick /stealth

Guess I have played for so long that I know if I see a warrior I can expect pummel. I know to expect stealth, and if I see a missing gladius member. Its just a wild guess that its a stealth class. I guess my "awareness" is fine.

In retrospect I guess I should have just said thanks for the videos and nothing else. I guess....

Some people train themselves to hear the sound, some train themselves to do it visually, some rely on instincts.

whatever works.

I've found playing with the sound on is distracting -- I use the sound alerts from from spell alerts to alert me to resses, paladin bubble and grounding totems.

The only request I would add to this, is a download option.
I have every Aelli video I could find, along with 30 or so other multiboxing video's.
It's nice to have the video on your hard drive, so you can pause or whatever.
In general a downloaded movie is higher quality then youtube too.

Also, I am looking for one of the add ons you were using that let you know when spells, totems were ready. Or a list of your add ons.

Thanks!

Have to have the sound on! I normally kill the music since it gets repeatable after a while so no changes, I play my soundtracks normally so its a lot of music with just instruments going. Nice to see more videos, really enjoy the videos you guys get going, and the better the quality the more enjoyable they are.
