Hey guys,
I'm admittingly a tad OCD, so when I'm playing WoW, I like to bounce between leveling and other things in order to not get burnt out doing too much of the same thing.
I recently leveled up my fourth team of 80's (Shamans and Warlocks, and Druids and Mages, Oh my! hehe) So I'm going to spend the next few weeks working on gear (Primarily tank stuff for my druids), and just doing dailies and getting money and such (Slowly working towards the 100 mount achievement on Arlassa. Up to 86)
So my big question is this. After I spend a bit of time getting probably two of my Druids tank geared up off of AHable items, so that they have the potential to better boost should I:
Work on my paladin, priest and rogue teams (without RaF) via questing and such, or
Use one druid bear tank to boost a paladin, priest and rogue to 60, and then use the other bear tank to boost the other four priests, four rogues and four paladins to 60.
I'm really not in any huge rush with these teams, though the paladins probably do have priority. I was able to boost 3 of my 5 druids to 60 (the other two were already 60+) in about a week's time using a level 80 shaman (and a second shaman later on). So I'm pretty confident that it could be done decently fast. But from a sanity point, I'm not sure. haha. That'd basically be like four weeks of boosting.
Anyone have any experiences with non-RaF questing 1-60? In theory, getting the remainder of my teams up to 60 in a month's time seems pretty cool, but I just know it's going to be boring. The big question is if it's going to be more boring than having to do tons of collection quests. hehe.

Trust me, if you level your paladins first, you will not want to go back to casters. It will be a chore to level casters.

Well, my only casting team left is Priests, so I'm not too worried about that. I'd like to get all teams (Except Warriors) to at least 60. Just to have them leveled up some. I do admit that i'm looking forward to the idea of paladins.

I agree with Jubber. My paladins are by far my most favorite multibox group. If I had to rank all the groups I have by enjoyment, it would go:
1. all paladins
2. all hunters
3. mixed group
4. all druids
5. all shamans
I didn't rank my 5x lock group as they are only level 60.

So here are my groups that I leveled to 80 and am now regretting spending all that time leveling them all.
1. 4 hunters 1 druid (Horde) Really fun to level but once I got to level cap got bored of them. Heroics is really hard to do. Shelved
2. Pally + 4 shamans (Horde) was Main team
3. 5x blood dk's (Horde) gimmicky. shelved
4. pally + 3 mages + priest (horde) shelved at 80
5. 4 locks + priest shelved at 80.. thought I would pvp more. but I still don't like to pvp.
6. 5 pallies lvl 80. (ally) loving them
7. pally + 4 shamans (ally) lvl 72 but having trouble finding a reason to level them after playing 5 pallies.
8. Mixed ally team of Bear tank, Hunter, warlock, mage and druid healer or priest healer. lvl 71/72
4 out of the 6 teams I feel I pretty much wasted time getting them to 80 and now they sit and collect dust. I burnt myself out in the leveling process. My friends are switching between Aion and WoW and when they come back they only want to play allies now cuz they are tired of horde. I love my pallies. No real setup time to them. Just run in and blow things up.
Having to position my shamans gets annoying. Although the shamans are definately more survivable. Figuring ways to deal with AOE heavy bosses has been a nightmare on the pallies but they are slowly getting geared and can usually blow up bosses before it becomes an issue.
I am having trouble leveling the 7th and 8th team cuz I leveled my paladins and they are so much fun.

So either a mixed team questing up, or boost a druid so it can boost others.
Which do you think would be the most fun?

I would go with a mixed team to have the most flexibility. I haven't played all shamans but the all paladin team I raffed up was awesome. Just play what is the most fun for you. But be mindful of your future goals. I have found that homogenous teams don't do well in some situations.

I appreciate the responses, but I think all of you missed the real question. haha. It wasn't a mixed team vs solid team question. It was a Boosting vs Questing 1-60 while not RaF question.
Basically, do you think it'd be better to boost the three teams up to 60, or quest the three teams up to 60.
I think the confusion was that the boosting choice (Since I have five accounts, and each team has five toons) would require a fourth boosting party, consisting of one of each of the three teams, since one of the five would need to be kicked out to allow the booster into the party.

Questing non-raf would give you the most bang for your buck. That way you don't have to switch out party members. Do the instances if you have several quests that lead you there as those offer pretty good xp for the quest and some nice upgrades. Quests in azeroth are plentiful so you can skip alot of drop quests and still have plenty of zones you can fill with kill quests.

Consider using your 80's to farm some of the easier instances to get a set of cloth BoA chests/shoulders for the alts you want to level up?
20% more xp for every future character you level will make things a lot quicker. Especially since you're planning on leveling so many.

As I said above, which will be more fun?
That's the main consideration.
Boosting will be faster, no question about it.
During RAF, with triple instance kill experience -and- triple quest experience...
Boosting is the faster of the two methods.
So if we reduce experience from both methods by the same amount (divide both by 3)...
Then the faster method is still faster - but the difference between the two is only 1/3rd of what it was.
I would probably go method A on two teams, with method B on one team.
And go Method A, Method B and then back to Method A.
Just to mix it up.
And regardless of which is faster, go for what is most fun.

Thanks, everyone!
I have the cloth heirlooms already for boosted exp. I'm definitely going to get a set of mail/plate ones for the paladins (and maybe DKs). I'll probably get the rogue/hunter set, too. So it's going to be a month, or two, before I do the exp side of things again, for sure.
I may mix it up. I wouldn't mind doing some low level instances as my paly team. They do sound like a lot of fun. I'll probably boost my rogues, however. And maybe the priests. I already have a level 70 priest I'll be using, so it may be too good to pass up.
