So i fiddled around with it and i must say this is a kick ass software!

Second, i find guides to do all the advanced stuff and utilities, but my question is...

How the hell do i get a single key to get passed to all wows at the same time?
I want to get some buttons for my watershield and totems etc... I realy tried to find a guide about this but i havent found anything that helped me in anyway. (i might be blind)

Yo,

if you use the default setup as it's offered these days you get automatic keymaps that do this. Your FTL DPS KEYS keymap will have actions set up that send 1 through = to all windows.

If you take a look at those keys you should get the hang of how it works. Basically it's making a keystroke action which sends to all windows.

You just have to make sure that all your characters have the same spells on the same spot on your action bar.

Short version:

- Make a new mapped key named however you want (usually spell name like water shield)
- Click on hotkey and select the key you want to use (click = for instance and then click on OK with your mouse)
- Rightclick Steps > New Step
- Select step 1
- In the right panel right click Actions
- Select Keystroke actions > New Keystroke Action
- Target = Windows /w current (= all windows)
- Key combination click = and then OK with your mouse (key sent to all those windows)

I created a new keymap of keys I wanted to pass F1 etc....

If you are just learning you can go into the DPS keymap and copy an existing key and change it to the key you want to pass. Making sure to adjust the HoT targeting as needed.

Make sure you back up often using the Save As feature. When you save as and start back up you might not see the same configuration you saved. In this case just Open the file you saved.

Ive tried to copy them aswell, but nothing is happening. Im realy stuck here. no idea wahts happening, the "out of the box" keymaps works wonders though

For the non-DPS keys, I just leave broadcasting on and hit the key. That works fine for me.

As I understand it (and I'm still very much finding my own feet with IS/ISBoxer so stand to be corrected!), if you put a key into the FTL keymap then each client will actually get a different keystroke, as determined by your FTL modifier settings.

That's assuming you haven't defined a white/blacklist of course :)

When you make changes to ISBoxer you need to push the settings to the game. You can do this while the game is running even!

In File | Export All to Innerspace

You have to set the key you press to activate the map, which is found when you click on the map name (eg shields or whatever you called it).

You also need to set the key that is ACTUALLY sent to the wow clients, which based on the screenshot you did.

If you are stuck, do a Save As on your current profile, do a clear profile, click on the Wizard, follow the prompts then look at the resulting key maps. Its a great way to reverse engineer the basics.

I have done this if im not wrong. Looks like anything i do, if i edit a existing FTL dps key from the key "2" to "R" or whatever. it doesnt work. IS dosent like me much it seems

You are just missing a critical part here.

First, there is the key you actually push. That is the Hotkey for the Mapped Key. Then there is what happens when you push that Hotkey, which is each Action in the Step. If you have multiple Steps, the next time you push it the next step is used. If you changed the key in Step 1 of the key named "DPS 2" to R, then you still have to press 2 -- and it will press R. If, on the other hand, you changed the Hotkey for "DPS 2" to "R", then you would have to press R for it to press 2. If you change both, then you can press R for it to press R.

Hey Eloxy on another note. When i am setting up classes i tend to make a whole new keymap. I right click on keymap and say add new keymap. After that i name that new keymap say shaman. Then under that new keymap title i can make my new keymaps. Such as totem drop totem recall mount drink eat and other stuff only my shammies will use. This also helps with formation like 5 man shaman 4 man shaman formation. So if anythings wrong i only have to search through shaman keymaps not all at once. Also once you save your new keymaps to say shaman. When you load up shaman you get all the basic maps from wizard plus the ones you made for shaman. I will post a ss for you so you can get a better idea.

Ahh thats quite a tidy way to handle stuff. Ill edit it over to sumthing to what you have done once i got 100% steady with it.

And i must say, once u get used to ISboxer, it is realy logical. Im wery pleased with this app

I'm obviously missing something here.

If you want to press C and have C sent to all your drones, why do you want to have it mapped at all?

Why would you not just have it passed through without adding it to a map.

Oh, I think I get it. You run around with broadcasting turned off and just add all of your broadcasting keys to the keymap, which bypasses the actual setting of broadcast. Sort of like a whitelist. Hmmm.

Yea thats why i have everything saved to a mem stick lol. So if nething happens to computer i still have my sets and dont have to do it all over again. Even with the wizard i think it took 3 hrs to get everything set the way i wanted it, while making sure every set worked. Also on my dkdruid and dkshaman i have click region enabled. This allows me to heal my tank clicking using vuhdu and say tank really needs help i can alt left click and all 4 shamans will chain heal or alt right click and all big heal. But like you said yes this app is ridiculous on how nice it is an easy once you get used to it and get some help. Lax has an awesome product here.

Then I have a Formations Keymap Group with my spread out macros.

I have a FTL DPS Keys Group where I pass 1 - =, E, Q, Z, X, ` and F.)

Then I have some other World Of Warcraft Macros and keybinds setup in my Shaman Keymap Group where I am using alot of Action Target Groups for stuff.

This is as far as I have really gotten since I started really playing with it about a week ago - but I'm slowly learning more and more and the best thing I like about it is if I want to fine tune some macros or play with keys I can change it in one place, pus ha reloadui to all my characters and away I go - nothing extra to do - no logging in and out, no editing macros on 5 characters or copy and pasting macro files between clients. And best of all I can use ONE game client for everything.

Suicide I would love to see your config. I am a reverse engineering kind of person and see some interesting titles in your keymap. Can I convince you to post your profile on Pastebin? I confess I will remain idle on the ISBoxer Chat in the hopes that someone will paste their config to Lax :)

Like described prior, it take a bit of getting the whole though about how IS and ISboxer works compared to keyclone or the other nice programs out there.

Unless you rely on constantly repetation of all keys in ISboxer (fx. using the repeater profile option) then you have to map ALL keys your toons are going to use.

I started with the wizards basic setup myself, and modified and copied carefully from thereon, slowly building more and more functions to my setup. Its not very advance but im SO happy with this software. What really blew me away is the repeater regions and the mouse repeater = Epic!

Some of the standard hotkeys in Isboxer was a bit confusing to me, but I got used to them or altered the ones I use alot (like turning the repeater for mouse brodcast on or off I set to "-" key.)

So fiddeling around with the program you will learn it eventually. Im also new to the program but im still very satisfied with it. Also, use the Mirch Channel on lavishsofts homepage, theres usually someone nice who will help you with a current problem.
