View Full Version : [ISBoxer] Toggle Off/On Possible/ F11 Reserved?
Hello
I just switched from HKN to ISboxer due to superior window swapping/forcing the correct GPU to use.
I have been able to replicate all the functions except the simple on/off toggle so I can chat in game?
I use all keymaps so certain keys triggers certain stuff, for example, b is round robin heroism for me, but I have yet to see anywhere for a toggle to turn on/off
Second.
It seems that ISBoxer reserves F11 for something? That's one of my mouse binding and would like to use it
I dug through the .xml saved file to see if there's any hidden keys in there but there was no reference of F11 but yet when I load ISboxer in wow , it's telling me that my F11 binding will be overriden.
Thanks for any help/points!

1- if you used the wizard for isboxer, there is a keymap called "control" under keymaps
inside of "control" is the mapped key called "activate maps", this is your on/off for keymaps.
also under "control" is "activate repeat", I use this for mouse repeating across all wow windows.
2- not sure if I remember correctly, but F11 might be used for some of the follow/assist stuff in jamba that isboxer made. like follow strobing or master/follow, etc. check under control or general keymaps
Hm i already generated a file using the wizard, where would i go to adjust those options now?
I've been pouring over the options, I must be blind ;/

under keymaps, look for "control"
in control, look for "activate maps" this is your keymap toggle on/off
Found it, thank you
Now onto a new issue, seems like according to the console, it is loading and unloading keymaps as commanded but even when unloaded, the keys are still active.

I just went through this, and its prolly the shitiest part of innerspace and it could really use some work.
Two things, you have keymaps:
Keymaps will pass without regard to "repeater/ broadcast" no matter what.
Repeater:
Repeats keys, that are not on keymaps when in the on state. So do like a Mute, you need to toggle repeater off, keymaps off.. then you can type for one person. If you want to type like a password in for your all your stuff I do all the keymaps off, and repeater on, then all keymaps back on and repeater off.

Thats hardly a work around for when you have a lot of keymaps, thats interface torture, unless I'm mistaken the only fix for the problem of no 'pause' button is make a new keymap, add info from all other keymaps, and done? :S
I wonder if Lax can chime in on this since he wrote ISBox
Another thing that I just thought of is to make an empty keymap and at the sametime, unload everything and load the empty keymap when "off".
It's a shitty work around but this will be a deal breaker not being able to pause the program to type and talk to friends.
Also, I'm trying to figure out what this means in keymaps
DO <No Mapped Key> in movement keymap > Self?
There's quite a few of these in the default dps key actions.
This thread is a clusterfuck ;)

I'm afraid I don't understand how this is a "shitty" part. Repeater is 1-to-1 broadcast, if you turn it on it'll do exactly what you do. Key Maps always override Repeater, so if something is explicitly mapped, that's exactly what is going to happen. You can combine the toggling into a single key if you find yourself toggling both often (under normal circumstances you'd only be toggling Key Maps) -- Step 1 would be disable key maps and enable repeater, step 2 would be enable key maps and disable repeater. I guess it's "shittiest" because the quick setup wizard doesn't add such a single key by default?

Before you made any changes to what the Quick Setup Wizard made for you, all you had to do was hit Shift+Alt+M, which was the hotkey for "Activate Maps" in the Control key map.

There's quite a few of these in the default dps key actions.
I wouldn't call that default in the least. By default it would say "Do FTL Assist Me in General Key Map -> Self". It would do that before it presses your action bar button, for example, to do the automatic assist. It sounds like you removed the key it used to be doing, and renamed the key map it used to be in. You might as well remove the FTL DPS Keys map at that point.
Lax, I went back to the wizard and did some testing and found that keymaps were still active after the console said they have been unloaded on all screen.
Is that a bug?
No. I would have to see your config to tell you what is going on (to show it, right click "ISBoxer" at the top, select Copy ISBoxer Toolkit Profile to Clipboard, then go to pastebin.com, paste it there, and give link here).
You may need to add additional Key Map Actions to the two steps in "Activate Maps" if you added your own Key Maps. If you didn't change anything after using the wizard, there would be no active maps after using the key to disable it. Also, take note that the first step actually turns them on, rather than off.
Here is the "Control" section of my keymap that turns stuff on and off

I have a blank map that loads when the other actual map unloads but that doesnt seem to work either.
Any help is appreciated.

In my case, when I start the program...
I need to press M3 (hotkey to enable Keymaps).
This turns the M3 light on and enables Keymaps.
I then press M3, which turns the light off and disables Keymaps.
I then press M1, which turns that light on and enables Keyboard Repeater.
By doing that, I can enter my passwords and authenticator code in each window at once.
You could try pressing whatever hotkey you have for Keymaps to be sure they're off.
Even if you turn them on and then off.
Do the same for repeater (or keyboard repeater, if you split keyboard and mouse repeating to different keys).
Then you can type normally without issue.
Basically, in Keyclone you need to press Pause to type without a problem. I'd imagine most of the boxing programs will have something you need to disable to type freely (ie not broadcast anything).
With IS Boxer, repeater is probably off unless you turned it on.
However Keymaps are repeater options for specific keys only.
If these keys interfere with what you're typing, you need to disable keymaps to type freely.
No, I don't see anything wrong with your particular key. But since I don't have any other parts of your configuration, I can't tell you what is wrong (this is why I always ask for the whole config, and not just for a specific Key Map, etc). Are you sure you dont have Key Repeat on? Enabling or disabling these Key Maps would not affect Key Repeat, and if your mapped keys don't do much besides broadcast the key you're pushing, that might look like Key Maps are on.
Whoops I think I figured it out, one of the my maps was listed twice and dps not being turned off, sometimes staring at this for a while makes your eyes crossed.
BTW, IS makes wow a pleasure to 5 box again due to using the correct GPU (W7 didn't handle this correctly either).
Lax,
Could you please do me a favor and peek at my entire config to see what F11 is bound too?

As far as I can do and I did a search thru the xml, no f11 is used anywhere but yet everytime I log in ISBOXER is saying it's overriding it, but not sure to what.
Your issue with F11 is a known issue with ISBoxer. Basically, you previously had a configuration that used the ISBoxer Addon, and now you aren't using it at all, so it thinks it doesn't need to build it. But this unfortunately leaves the existing ISBoxer Addon in your WoW folder. Go into your WoW Addons folder and delete the ISBoxer folder, and this will go away.

All you need to do is change the Key Combinations that are using F11 and F12 by default, to something else. This post doesn't apply to your situation as far as I know.
