Alright about 4 hours screwing with this and getting super frustrated that I am lacking the ability to properly configure this to do exactly what I want.

I have just a few things that im really trying to setup to mimic my keyclone setup. Alright so brief about my keyclone setup, I have tab, wasd, and enter on black list (and a few others) the only time they get passed is when I toggle the Do Not Pass overide.

I am attempting to hit the pause key, and "mute" or stop any actions with the exception of my keypresses on the main screen. (I want to be able to type)

I want to hit Scr LK, and essentially overide everything, and strictly pass every key i press, like if I wanted to type /dance or something. Is this even possible if I have enter black listed to not pass on repeater. Ive spent about 4 hours F)(*cking with this and I am super frustrated because I know what I want to do, but for some reason am lacking the ability to configure it. I can do a whole FTL system in keyclone, but for some reason I cant even figure out how to toggle shit on and off the way I want with innerspace =(.

Help is of course, very appreciated. And thanks to Redone for trying to help me out already!

Moving to Inner Space from Keyclone...

Keyclone by default passes every click.
Unless you hit the pause key.
You can modify this with a White List (only pass these keys).
Or with a Black List (never pass these keys).

Inner Space has Keyboard and Mouse Repeating options.
When repeater is on, it broadcasts everything clicked or typed.
So turning these on mimics Keyclone's behavior.
When repeater is off, you still pass any Keymaps you have set up.

Keymaps are like broadcasting options.
Each has a trigger, targets it applies to, and an action or actions.
Even when repeating is off, keymaps work.

So essentially, when Repeater is off, anything not specifically put into a Keymap is on your Black List.
But anything that is a Keymap hotkey (trigger) is effectively on the White List.
I'd personally not use either the White or Black lists with Inner Space.

If you don't make a Keymap which uses the keys WASD, then (with Repeater off) those keys do nothing on the other screens. No need for a Black List option.
Again, unless you make a Keymap which uses the Tab key, then (with Repeater off) Tab won't do anything on the other screens.

Most of the time, you want your Keymaps on, and Repeater to be off.
I've found when typing, disable the Keymaps is a good idea, much like you press Pause in Keyclone.
For example, I have Keymaps for Shift A, Shift S, Shift D etc.
If I type something and include a capital A or S or D, if keymaps are on, nothing is typed.
With Keymaps off, I'm free to type whatever.

Alright lets see if I can take that info and make it work... solid explanation I hope the 2+2 = 4 clicks in my head now.

How do I actually turn keymaps off? Thats the biggest problem im facing right now.... i can't write, because i have characters like "g" and "c" set as hotkeys for key-maps ("g" for example is a round-robin for my stomp ability, so i can only write a "g" every 5th click etc.)

Key Map Action -> OFF

If you used the Quick Setup Wizard there is an example of this in the Control key map, called "Activate Maps" (Shift+Alt+M by default). It's also described in Zanthor's "Zero to Hero" guide
