Can anyone else actually finish reading someone's post after they use "dieing" or "lieing" in a sentence? I mean, it is conceivable that someone spaced out and typed "your" instead of "you're" but you have to consciously try to misspell dying to spell it dieing. I'll be the first to admit that I typo here and there on accident. Typos, though, are way different than completely incorrect spellings. Is it that hard? Obviously, folks who speak English as a 2nd/Nth language are partially exempt, depending on the rest of their writing. (Skuggo is exempt, too, but you knew that already!)

In short, get a free spellchecker or some shit like the one built into Firefox, because unless you're a machinist or fabricator and discussing your machining/fabricating/manufacturing equipment, using "dieing" in a sentence is Doing It Wrong(tm).

I prefer correct spelling and grammar in posts.
I also like it when people break their posts into paragraphs.
The idea behind the post is the most important, but understanding it easily is a huge bonus.

As an aside, I'm not really sure the fascination with Friday (TGIF).
Most of us get up just as early, go to work for as many hours, battle rush hour traffic both ways, etc.
TGIS (Thank God It's Saturday) would be more appropriate.

I prefer "TGIFA605". As in, thank "God it's Friday at 6:05". That's usually when I grab a beer and head home :)

And Ugh, I went to that failblog and it's pretty freaking funny. That made my whole lunch hour. Especially this one:

Edit: And yea, I do hate people that can't or don't spell correctly.

Sometimes i dont capitalize my i's or put in in the apostrophes or use the stupid dot dot dot thing...cause im lazy.

Well I usually go back and change it before posting so I don't look like an idiot but I don't blame others who don't as long as what they post is easily readable. I think your-you're is worse than dieing since it's a word choice or grammar problem versus a spelling problem. Grammar mistakes seem stupid to me but spelling mistakes seem ignorant. I give people the benefit of the doubt on typos until they "typo" it twice.

The one that really annoys me the most, is probably rouge.

Although I have a friend who spells horrendously.
And he gets really upset when people correct him.
Basically says, "You know what I mean".
The fact that he doesn't want to learn is annoying too.

It pisses me off because it must scare me.
I'm not clever enough to figure out a way to profit from western culture getting stupider.

I though I was the only one that was bothered by this sort of thing.

My personal favourite, why is it the morons in battlegrounds always want you to hurry up and loose, never to hurry up and lose.

Let's see, about 20% of the world population speak english, and just a wild guess here, but the literacy rate is quite a bit lower, as alot of those countries who actualy speak english as their national language is african counties who were colonys of England back in the days.
There's more chinese people who speak english than the US and the UK combined, and we all know how good their education system is, so lets take another stab in the dark here and say they dont write too well either kk ^_^

By and large, I think you should be thankfull that most of the text that is shown on your screen is ledgible at all. And if it wasn't for the HUGE difference between the poor and the rich in the world I'm not so sure it would be at all :P

Wait, are you being serious in a non-serious thread? Curious minds want to know...
