Good lord, so I'm only at 280 skill and all ready at over 5000g in cost, figure it will be another 5k for the last 95 points to get to 375 for pyro rockets but to be able to finish off those bastards that live through the lava burst will be worth it... right? right?? ;)

If it hurts extra, it's worth paying for :-)

300-400 was pretty cheap on my server, I'd say 75% of the cost was below 300

Also you won't be disappointed ;)

It's bad on my server too, but not quite that bad. The cobalt bars alone cost me like 1200g. I think it's about 3500-4000g per toon
I'm having to pay 70-100g per stack for everything above bronze

I`m leveling engeniierung at the moment too. I don`t have the gold to buy the mats, so i decided on farming. I needed 6 hours to get 105 eng. It is quite hard and i hope to finish this on the weekend.

I have it on one shaman now

Yoobox totally owned someone with that rocket in 5v5 tonight

you gotta get to 400, it cost me a shitload on all 5 but as far as professions go i think its the best for multiboxers hands down. it took over a week though since its so much shit you have to buy and not enough supply

the rocket in pvp won't do the full damage because everyone has resilience and some sort of damage reduction effect on them at the higher end though

You know I was just thinking about that today, are these stupid things really worth it? It seems like they didn't scale too well, especially with all the gear people have now. Just imagine next season, what's 1500 damage gonna do?

I would imagine that blizzard would upgrade the dmg like they did a few months back, however with that said I dont know if I would do it x4 again. /shrug The parachutes are pretty cool though. I think I would get the same burst with a +SP trinket/passive SP. /shrug again....

I'm thinking the real benefit of the rockets is not so much the damage (which is small), but having an extra instant cast spell off the global cooldown. It's like getting in a free frost shockx4, if you look at it that way. I think it can work - I constantly leave targets with <4k hp with everything on cooldown, only to have them healed back to full.

Rockets also are also not resisted by cloak of shadows and deterrence, and while they can't be combod with a use trinket you can still use a proc based SP trinket or even better the battlemasters trinkets. Even if you dont want something additional to manage, simply comboing up the use battlemasters bonus health with bloodlust when its "go time" really can make a difference

Yep, I'm going to tie the rockets to my elemental mastery / lava burst kill macro and the battle master trinkets (this week) to hero since I only use that when they charge in and that's when the burst from the other team happens.

So if rockets do not get absorbed by any spell absorbtion abilities - should I shoot them last? My macro has them firing off first... not sure if it can be cast as part of a castsequence:

/cast Blood Fury
/cast Elemental Mastery
/castsequence reset=8 Flame Shock, Lava Burst, Furious Gladiators Mail Gauntless, Chain Lightning, Frost Shock

hmm, I doubt that

current macro is:

/cast Bloodfury
/cast Elemental Mastery
/use 11
...

Can the battlemaster trinket be popped at the same time as the rocket?

/use 11
/use 13

??

I think the best use for that trinket would be to put it on several macros, just to ensure it gets popped when necessary:
- heal main macro
- heal all macro
- thunderstorm (because if you have to thunderstorm you are probably taking massive damage)

I'm not quite sure about popping it Before i take damage though...

I read somewhere that they can't be used with the SP trinket (triggersa GCD maybe?) - anyhow, I'm going to put them at the end of the burst macro with LB and also at chain since its a 45 sec CD.

I paid 25kg on JC + BSx4 on one of my teams...

Pretty much anything off of the GCD will be fired all at once, but in the order the macro lists them.
Well, unless wow has some hidden cooldown or prevents it from being used with another ability.

Anything on the GCD is also fired in the same order and all at once, but because of the GCD delay secondary things also with a cooldown are fired on later presses of the key.

It's generally a good idea to preface your big nuke with Purges.
This removes negating effects such as grounding totems, and softens the target up, potentially removing Kings, Fortitude, Mark etc.

Rarely have time for that in high level arena, 2k+ teams barely give me enough time to pick a focus target. I also can't purge my focus target. I usually only purge to get rid of a grounding totem that was just dropped (which I can see via spell alerter). I don't start heavy purging until it's down to 3 targets.
