All,
as usual thanks in advance for the help.
Currently, I am 4 boxing with 3 locks and 1 priest. I am only lvl 30 and am wondering if I made the right decision. The priest is disc/holy and does alot of standing around (which is ok cause he's there when I need him). His main purpose of course is life tap = holy nova to keep them topped off and other healing functions/buff (I know he could do some holy fire dmg later). I'm mowing through stuff as you can imagine but I'm more concerned when I begin pvp. I will be doing dailies, etc but mostly pvp.
The locks are and will be destro. So my question, is it even worth carrying the priest or should I catch another lock up and just bust stuff til I need to eat?
If you guys (that have exp in this) think I should keep a healer, is the priest the right choice for my setup. The reason I chose the priest is for a couple of things, one, Pysch Scream (instant), Fort buff, and "some" aoe healing/inst heals. Lastly, should one of the locks pull out the fel hunter for mana replenish?
Lastly anything, I'm not thinking about that could bite me at a higher level pointed out would be great!
Thanks again,
-hate

I don't have any experience with the type of setup you're talking about, but I can say that even in PvP I would dearly miss somebody capable of ressing!
When I started my hunter + druid team, the druid could only res once every... erm... thirty minutes(?) or so, and it was deeply painful doing pretty much anything.
Even now, I frequently lose one of my guys (but VERY rarely all of them) at various points in world PvP / WG / AV, and would hate to end up doing a GY run with the whole team to recover. I doubt soulstones - even with the 15 minute cooldown penciled in for 3.3 - would be enough to stave off the frustration.
So I reckon you'd really miss a healer / resser, regardless of class. I suppose you could always go with 5 sets of jumper cables and hope for the best though.... ;)
I'll leave a more in-depth analysis to those who have experience with a Disc Priest healer.

You could always make the priest shadow and have him DPS and throw heals as needed instead of just toting him around doing nothing.

I have been thinking about this myself. I have a 4 lock team. ( all 39 atm ) I have a 5th lock who is 66. There have been a few times that I would have owned an entire group of players at a flag if i had a tad bit of healing. I run out of mana and end up dieing, The life drain does not drain back fast enough for life tap+life drain.
I do well well with out healing most the time. Having bandages maxed really helps a lot. But when its a long skirmish against multiple players.. a healer would own! That extra area fear would be sweet!

I'm levelling (Oh so slowly) a lock + priest team.
I've solo played a lock to 70 and pvped at level cap at that time for ages,
The times I was lucky enough to have a healer backing me up I was almost unstoppable.
(that was affliction).
You are all destro so have to plant your feet a bit more but the damage will be fantastic - I will probably go affliction on my group.
Dotting from range, moving to someone else and dotting them up. Self healing a little with siphon life on multiple targets, a bit of healing with haunt. A Curse of exhaustion slowing pursuers down.
I think a priest or a druid is the best suited to a group of locks. I went with the priest as holy nova does damage as well as heals.
And improved shields and divine aegis, pain suppression etc all seemed nice to have.
Take a look at furspheres macro compenium thread. There is a disc priest click macro.
I would bind that on a key that has the main dps macro on the warlocks but that you don't normally use.
Then you can choose to leave the priest out of dealing damage to concentrate on healing, or can have him dishing out damage by pressing another button.

I still have a team , lead shadow priest, 4 aff locks. this combo is geat for pvp. this grp was lvled on a pvp server to 70. (when cap was 70) have not played them much since then but they could do any 5 man (non-heroic) instance, dailies, pvp, etc no problems. Priest is needed for buffes, now with dual spec you could have a field day. Shadow dps and 4 locks are a power house for damage, burst , DOT.s etc. do it you will not be sorry. I also did another grp with driud and 4 locks , gives good buffs and tank (Heroic duty) 3 locks geared and anything are great.

Even if you drive with your priest as holy or disc you would do very well. As disc you can deal some damage and still heal very well. As holy you are a bit squishier but would be a very strong healer. I do way better in AV when driving with a healer (my pallies are dual spec).
