RAF and BG's

Hey guys i just got my rogue + ele shaman duo up to lvl 51 and had some plans to start AV. I'm just wondering does the 3 x exp work in BG's and whats the exp like in AV? Am i better off questing etc?

I think a lot depends on your particular server.
What are the queue times like to get in to AV in that bracket?
How effective are your faction at capturing and converting towers/bunkers etc.

What you could do - continue questing and join the AV queue on your team.
When it pops go in there and take a note of your XP bar before and after the match.

Heirloom shoulders work in BG's for improving XP so I'm sure RAF will too so it may turn out to be a nice boost alongside questing.

Thanks shaeman, I'll hopefully get time to try it tonight, it was a bit late to start AV last night, once i hit lvl 51. Looking forward to hitting 60 but kind of feel i need to make the most of my RAF so will have to go back and lvl 2 more chars up to 60! lol

That 50 to 60 stretch is really quick, a few knock out quests in Ungoro non gather quests (though the Tauren's quests I would do), Felwood, Winterspring, then the core WPL then EPL and you should be ~60 I would think. Those cauldron quests I recall were just insane XP with RAF. The scholo key lead up, lich and what not. maybe Deathclasp if you over there.

I really liked the Searing Gorge quests for low 50's too.

AV is much better experience 61+ then it is in the 51-60 bracket, but mixing it up doesn't hurt.

I kind of doubt RAF works in bg's. Rest does nothing since there is no real killing xp and the xp you do get isn't from questing which is the only other thing RAF affects. I could be wrong and this is only a guess.

edit: Actually rest does do something but its so small its almost nothing. NPC kill xp in av is like 55(55+55 rest -55 raid penalty). I remember getting 55 xp per kill in the 70s bracket so you can tell how miniscule it is.

Thanks for the replies, io found out that the RAF does not work for the exp gotten for towers burnt down etc, but does work for mobs killed, as someone stated above.

Was better exp questing. :) LvL 55 now :)
