I am looking to give 10 boxing a try, its been tempting me for some time now, and I am looking for some advice on the choices for the next 5. The goal here is really to have fun farming specific raid content, err ... to make expensive screen shots. But I am still at odds with what to go with and my vacation days for the end of the year need to be spent soon :p

I currently have a new (hello feathermoon folks!) paladin and elemental setup that I am going to add a sidebar to, basically maxed out on heroic gear. Just missing enchants and gems really -- perhaps some tuning encounter items. I don't have any raid accessible token gear besides what the daily provides and I am only at like 20 tokens on that from.

This is actually my second 80 heroic capped paladin and elemental setup, pre-faction change of course and I have a few other similarly geared characters though not full teams. FWIW, I also have druid, priest, lock in the same 213 avg gear area, and 5 pvp hunters.

I will have 5 new RAF accounts as well as the ability to transfer a lot of forgotten 70 level characters (locks, priests, hunters, etc especially now with faction change) Forgoing leveling (its just a process I am used to) and heroic grinding. I am most comfortable with warlocks, shaman, and mages for dps. Boomkin not really, though for healer I am.

This would be the setup I am milling over (resto druid, ret paladin, and possibly the priest dual spec), the qty of mages and locks variable. Likely swap groups a bit in actual raid.

Thanks all

10-boxing is fun, but Naxx, OS, and 2 of the VoA bosses are just about all anyone has done so far. Most ToC and even Ulduar fights require a few too many toons doing specific things and it becomes hard for one person to handle it all.

Still, I enjoy it. I usually run dailies or a heroic on one team in the down time I have single-player raiding ToC10.

You might want to consider a hunter and a boomkin - the hunter to suck up all the attack power gear and the boomkin to provide the hit bonus. That's a lot less hit you need on a lot of other toons if you have one boomkin along.

that's almost the exact group makeup ive got going for 10 man raids, only the second pally i'm going to trade out for a DK once i get leveled high enough on that account
My pally and shammys are 80 already, and the rest are lvl 34 as of today, as soon as they hit 80 i'm gonna blow through heroics and naxx and try and get geared up as much as possible before the expansion.
But i see it as a good group makeup, I love my pally as a tank but i wanted to try something different.

Sure I realize the playable breadth of the characters is quite limited to three level 80 raids.

I definitely understand what your saying with the free 3% to hit and trying to itemize that throughout all the characters. I'll have to mess around and respec my Druid, or use the PTR, to see what the eclipse rotation is really like again. Its not like with ten characters I would be able to act on hotstreak / nightfall procs for example (if I were to spec that route). I found the druid was doing poor damage in comparison to the debuff they were bringing to the group.

I could never get used to the DK play style for multi-boxing, it seems to be a lot of twitch. Possibly because the tanking advice I have gotten was poor and or the class has gone through so many changes its fluxed. The ease of the paladin is really hard to beat things like another: blessing, aura, judgment, lay on hands, divine sacrifice. Going back to my warrior from time to time, the crazy "leeroy" pulls the paladin does are really hard to manage.

Its a same more of us aren't on the same servers.

3% Hit is huge if you do not want a boomkin go with an SP.

For 10/25 mans i feel this is one of the must have buffs as the dps lost through itemising that extra 3% hit far outways any personal dps lost on any individual toon. Remember you need a lot more hit vs level 73 raid bosses than level 72 heroic "bosses".
