How to spend emblems of triumph?

Get the idol/wand/totem/trinket or wait and save for... Gloves? Shoulders? The Nobundos set bonus looks _really_ nice (Nobundo's Shoulderpads of Triumph)...

It all depends on what current gear you got..
I spent my first on totem, simply because the shaman elemental totem in pretty insane. My next, I spent on shoulders. My choise there was because I'm still only doing Heroics, since i don't have any other boxer to raid with me atm. (Ele shaman shoulders don't have hit, but haste/crit)

It all comes down to simple math if you are looking for the 'best' upgrade. The ring is also great for casters, seeing there is a lack of good caster-rings before raid, atleast besides the TOC Heroic ring. (31 runs, 2 rings so far.)

Yeah, I'm having zero luck on the ToC ring as well. I have the emblem of valor totem for my shaman, so I think I'll just go for the shoulders and gloves (since I already bought the chest- and headpiece for conquest emblems) for the +9 secs to flame shock.

Soon they'll drop everywhere and the new Emblems of Frost are coming. I wouldn't really give them much value tbh so don't put too much "weight" on the choice as all Triumph items will be at your reach soon.

In pve gear "moves" just too fast :p

Well, yes. But I think this is arguable, because for someone playing 1-2 hours a day, or 7-8h a day, the wait feels much longer for the second part, and then you really want to spend your emblems right :)

And for Fuzzy: I really think you should consider the totem over gloves,unless you raid and need them for hit. Because its generally 200 Haste rating 95% uptime in PVE.

In case of the totem. Buy it, then do some testing on dummies with your old and new totem and see if its worth it. For me it wasn't, so I sold it back to the vendor within the 2 hour timeframe.

yup got to spend the emblems they will not be upgradeable so you might as well spend them. Shoulders I say if the totem is only a slight upgrade.

not the totem if you have valor one, fro 5 man upgrade is very slight, shoulders will get you closer to 4 piece which is pretty sexy.

edit. if youre using a pally tank 4 piece isnt that great, Im just using 2 piece on my pally with off pieces for teh rest :) also the strength libram is better than dodge one, ie. teh ones that's in my armory(work blocks all wow sites so i cant look up my name, i cant even see my own armory):

In case it helps someone here's what I worked out for max non-raid gear. Here's one of my girls. I know she has too much hit, but I like to keep the girls ready for random alt raids my guild does. On the plus side I never miss in heroics :)

ATM; The thoughts are 2xFrost Emblems will be from daily Heroic quest, 10x from the weekly raid q. (witch can be as 'easy' as patchwerk!)

neck - Symbol of Redemption plus 23 spl pwr gem

wrist - Bejeweled Wizard's Bracers (BiS ele bracers)

chest - Merlin's Robe (keeping 4 piece from other pieces)

Trinkets - Abyssal Rune and Mithril Pocketwatch or Sundial of the Exiled

offhand - Iron-bound Tome (little bit better than barricade, no int but ele has zero mana problems)

remember simple formula SP>Haste>Crit>all the other useless stats
While this might be a bit different for very high end geared shamans, for regulr heroic geared shammies SP is major stat.

It was easy for me as my three clothies and my pally had no shot at shoulder upgrades in any content I do. So, I ground out 45 emblems for shoulders. For my shaman, I'd picked up a 219 shoulder from HToC so I grabbed a ring.

shoulders are 30 emblems, unless you had trophy of the crusade(drops in toc 25 and H 10 man)

The lvl 232 shoulders are 30 emblems (Nobundo's Shoulderpads of Conquest), the lvl 245 shoulders are 45 emblems + trophy (Nobundo's Shoulderpads of Triumph).

The non tier ilevel 245 shoulders are 45 emblems but the ilevel 232 Tier 9 shoulders are 30 emblems.

For the Pally going with the higher ilevel non Tier piece was probably a smart move however for other classes it was probably a mistake depending on the set bonusses.

didnt even cross my mind that someone would buy those bad mail non set shoulders >.> Even cloth one arent that grea, besides the point that just 2 piece will yield more dps tha extra few sp.
Paladin should be(if you dont raid) t8 helm, and 4 piece from t9.

The pally off set shoulders are actually pretty good and the 4 set bonus is wasted on a non raider IMO - I went for 2T9 and off set pieces ie crafted chest non Tier shoulders and would have gone for the off tier head next but I stopped collecting them until more challenging 5 man content comes out. I really need to find me a raiding guild.

eh you're right, if crafted pieces are involved than non 4 piece is better, even for raiding i actually skipped 4 piece and went with 3 off set pieces, but that only goes for a tank.
