View Full Version : Leveling Tips
Just wondering what you do when you pass the time when your leveling...
Currently its so amazingly boring that i want to shoot myself in the foot to create some kind of excitement...After having 2 70's its so painful to get another one up hehehehe. I have to do it though! So what are your tips for making the pain less, music, tv?

i have a laptop next to my screens that i use as a dvd player. even just noise in the background helps break the boredom a lot :) used this even when not 5boxing lol
I have 11 seasons of M*A*S*H on DVD that I can watch over and over again... the contrast makes the game seem fun. :)
Oh, and a generous amount of alcohol, VERY important...

WOW !!! I'm not the only one. :)
I also got the complete season box set.. I even watched the special features discs and movie.
I'm moving on to another series though, can't watch MASH all over again so soon. Probably Stargate SG-1. :D

I have netflix and a 6 dvd's at a time. The local supply station is 10 miles from my house so its a one day turn around.
I have watched over 600 dvds this year... thats how I stay sane and leveling.

Whilst leveling my characters I have watched:
7 seasons of Star Trek Voyager (twice)
7 seasons of Star Trek The next Generation (twice)
7 seasons of Star Trek Deep Space nine (twice)
10 seasons of Stargate
and roughly 180 films.
Generally speaking it makes the leveling more exciting o/

I have a TV literally beside my desk so I can just let that run in the background and watch stuff during flights ;p Usually I'm so focused on making my questing paths as efficient as possible though it doesn't get too boring lol

So far:
Tons of movies, too many to list.
Watched the full run of the Monty Python TV series on DVD.
Working on Season 2 and 3 of Forever Knight.
Have the new Twin Peaks box set to look forward to after FK.
Audio books are great. You can still watch the game while listening.

Everytime I start a new character I choose a TV series that I downloaded from the web. I then try to get to level 70 before the series is over (usually done by 4th season).
For my 4x shamans I decided to start watching the entire 24 series.
So far I've leveled 6 level 70s and 1 level 60 using this method and makes the who leveling process a bit easier to withstand.
When leveling one character at a time I normally skip all professions, all instances (if its a pug). If my character depends on meele weapons I choose 1 or 2 types of weapons (axe, mace, sword etc) and stick with it to 70. I rush through the levels then do all the boring stuff whenever I have time.
