Ive spent 2 hours searching these forums and trying out different mods to do what i want. I run a palidan and 4 shamans and i would like to find a mod that puts the cooldown of EM and other spells on my palidans screen. ive tried buffannouce dottimer with cooldowncount, it claims to have announce but when i check it nothing happens..

any help would be appreciated thanks

Party Ability Bars. Seach for that on either wowinterface or curse.

I'm just using Spell Timers from DBM these days.

I have a hack for PAB that puts the icons into pitbull4, I need to get rid of PAB alltogether and make it just a pitbull4 plugin soon.

For DBM are you just doing 'in' timers?

I started using PAB this weekend to keep track of my Elemental abilities on my Resto shammy (the one I usually drive). It works well enough for me :)

No, there's a mod for it called Spell Timers (http://www.deadlybossmods.com/downloads.php). It looks for spell casts from your party/raid and puts a cooldown bar up. It's in the upper right corner of the screenshot there.

I was using PAB for a while, but it was not working out very well with multiple specs of the same class. I have a resto shaman and an enhancement shaman, so when I was trying to track my dogs, mana tide, shamanstic rage, Bloodlust...I'd have to put it up for the class and it would show for both shamans.

That looks nice actually.... I'll have to give it a shot.

Sorry for a very small hijack here, but Khatovar I really like your questlog, may I ask which one you use?
It looks very neat.

Raigirin, that's nQuestLog (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/n-quest-log.aspx). I don't think it's been updated recently, I had to make some edits to the files to get it to work.

You can try the one on Curse, someone also posted a "fixed" one in the comments. If you're ok with editing the .lua files yourself, these (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/n-quest-log.aspx?CommentPage=2#531194) are the changes you might have to make {that's my post, so I know those changes work}. Or, if you want I can zip up mine and send you a copy of my corrected one.

Edit - By the way, the questlog does collapse, I usually have it showing only active quests in my current zone. I had it fully expanded to look at all my dailies. Normally it's about half as big as my chat window.

i go to wowhead and in the url for the spell (at the end of it), is some numbers. I believe that is the spell id

for example

rank 1 flash of light is spell #ID 19750

and here is the url for rank 1 flash of light http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=19750

you can see the id is at the end of spell=

hope that helps

With Spell TImers from DBM, does every toon have to have it? Or does it detect the cast from combat log parsing or something? It looks interesting, and I've already got the core DBM installed for AV.

It should detect the cast via the combat log and will use the input cooldown, so you shouldn't need it on the slaves.

@ Khatovar , thank you very much for the information.

I never thought about using DBM for party spells. This has always been a struggle each addon I have tried was lacking in one way or another.

Is there anyway to use DBM out of an instance? It would be nice to see the spelltimers when questing.

In my screenshot, I'm not in an instance. I don't see any option to disable or enable related to instances, just a checkbox to enable it all together. If you have the Spell Timers mod it should be under /dbm > Options > Skill/Spell Cooldowns > Enable Cooldown Timers. It doesn't come with every spell, though. You may have to add some.
