Hmm, I got one Battle-Net Account and 5 WoW accounts attached to it - I use the authenticator once and use it on all 5 accounts at the same time - works perfectly if you just copy/paste it from the first client.

Huh? If you fire up your keyclone or whatever to log in, all you need is 1 authenticator code for all your accounts.

Really, when i do it i have to put unique codes in...

do you enter them all at once and click accept once after the other? or do you enter one click, enter another click etc?

1. create the code using the authenticator
2. try to login with all accounts and wait for the authenticator window pop up on all clients
3. copy/paste the code within 5 seconds
4. login!

Swapped point 1 and 2 with each other, makes more sense this way.

I run all 4 of my accounts on one monitor/laptop. pass is the same for all accounts with my b.net, and dropdown window on each window has it's own account selected. I use keyclone to fire up all clients first. then type in my password which gets sent to all clients at the same time, click one window at a time and hit enter, then the next x4, then wait for the authenticator window to pop up, then type that 6 digit code in once, then use the mouse to select each window one at a time and hit enter again as before. no copy/paste, no different login codes needed unless i screw up, and no hassle.

bah, i don't like it.

when i used to open up keyclone, All 5 windows opened up, with the account name filled in. type the password once and press enter, tadaa , logged in.

now ; open keyclone, enter password, choose wich account on every window. Its not that much trouble, but it slows things down a bit too much. Isnt there a shortcut around this ?

Yes, ( you can virtualize your config.wtf with some software solutions) check the box for remembering account name and it will save your battlenet and subaccount for the next time you login. You also have the option of manually editing the config file if something isn't working correctly.

When I use Innerspace/Isboxer for my teams I only need to punch in the password/authenticator code when I log in. Each character has its own config file virtualized with the correct account already selected.

Good luck.

I didn't realize login was a difficult task. Just broadcast your authenticator key, press enter...

And that's no longer working after todays downtime. It's 1 authenticator key -> 1 login for me. Sucks terribly...

Not according to Fenril:

[13:46] Niley: anyone had any issues with loging in today? authenticator issues?
[13:47] Niley: Poing, another boxer in my guild couldnt use same code for all the accounts
[13:49] MiRai: I've logged in 3 times today simulatneously with the same authenticator code here
[13:49] MiRai: before maintenance
[13:49] MiRai: and twice after

Well, it's definately 1 auth key per login for me right now. So about 2.5 minutes to log all 5, a freaking joke.

Seems to be an anti-hax thing, since if there is a keylogger on your machine, a hacker/bot COULD log in as you, using the same authenticator code, as long as they logged in quickly after your login. Now they can't.

The choice is one B.Net account, with a distinct authenticator code per account.

Or five B.Net accounts, one per PC.
With the same code on all five at once.

The first option gets you the integrated account management stuff.
And is more secure.

The second option is far more convenient entering the game.
But is less secure, unless you always enter with all five accounts, thereby invalidating the code for each.

I have to use the authenticator for EACH client. I can't broadcast the code... its a bit annoying to login, but not as annoying as to find my accounts have been hacked :D

I will try again to see if I can login by broadcasting the authenticator code.

You'll only be able to broadcast the authenticator code (one code for all accounts), if you have each account on its own Battle.Net email.

I have five Battle.Net emails, with one wow account on each. And can log in, all five at once, by first broadcasting the password, and then broadcasting the single authenticator code.

I lose the integrated account management features.
And if they ever change BoA items to be across the battlenet (as rumored), I'd lose out on that too.

Yes it dosen't work by broadcasting the authenticator code to the clients, as I have setup my wow accounts on one battlenet account. Ohh well I have already gotten used to the prolonged login sequence.

But it will be very annoying if the computer crash during an instance and I have to login in a hurry....

I've restarted my boxing team using ISBoxer and have tried numerous times to login to all 5 accounts by using the single authenticator code, however it only works on the initial screen (main screen) while all the other screens come up with "The information you have entered is not valid .........."

When I launch my team, all screens come up fine.
When I enter my password, all screens connect, then it comes up with "Enter the generated digital code"

Upon entering, the main screens logs in fine, but the other 4 come up with the invalid info as stated above.

Is there just something I'm missing on the ISBoxer config or is this method of using a single code to login no longer working.

Old thread, but I have to log in with a separate code each time as well. Pretty annoying, and it takes 30 seconds per press to get a different code. All my games are under one b.net email, and the pass is the same on each account, but I still have to use a different code each time.

It's old news, it's been this way a while. 1 battle.net account with 5 sub accounts require a unique authenticator code.

You can call blizzard and have them unlink the accounts (you'll need an email for each account) and then you will be able to use 1 authenticator code for all 5 battle.net accounts. A lot of people have done this. Honestly they could revert / fix this anytime as well.

Ok, I figured as much but wanted to check for sure.

Thanx!
