yeap i just came home from work , tried to login to my aion accounts and it seems that both are banned, altho i didnt do any illegal stuff except dual boxing. so I did contact the Support from NCSoft and hope to get both accounts unbanned. still waiting for them to reply.
happened on Ger Thor.

That sucks. Did you get an email or something telling you it was for dualboxing, and you're also saying dualboxing is illegal on aion?

Someone probably flagged you for botting.

i really hope to get an answer on my support "ticket" i send them via my account and their website.

http://us.ncsoft.com/en/legal/user-agreements/aion-user-agreement.html

maybe really just someone flagged me as being a bot since the 2nd box nearly always was on follow and assisted me by using different macros well , we will see how it works out

What server and characters are yours ?

there were 2 ppl in our guild who looked like they were botting and we booted them from the guild and apparently they got the axe from ncsoft too - good riddance !

From what I saw on the Aion forums, they banned a lot of accounts because of gold transfers. People that sent gold from one of their characters to another on a different account, were being banned as gold sellers. Even guild leaders were banned for receiving gold. NC can't do it right so they screw it up.

I don't think it's true - they did say that they banned anyone involved in gold selling/buying - so I suppose that if some idiot bought kinah and then gave it to a guild leader to fund the guild upgrade, that may cause problems for the receiving end too - but I'm somewhat doubtful they traced back that far

I'm also somewhat wondering about the reality of the OP - seems strange to register just to post that

On my live stream I regularly get random trolls coming in and trashing the game with no actual facts behind the trashing - I suspect there is probably some industry of "guerrilla marketing warfare" going on where people are paid or incentivized to blog, twitter, forum post, chat troll and trash the competition

All in all; I've yet to see someone trustworthy reporting they've been banned for the wrong reason (or unable to get it fixed fairly quickly - as I'm sure they do make some mistakes; hopefully a tiny %)

My sons account was banned but has since been restored due to it being an error. His chat channels are locked out when he plays so I know he didnt talk to a gold seller or buy gold. Especially when he would have to use my CC.

It took about 36 hours to have it sorted, so yeah they did capture some innocents in their sweep but they are not the first company to do so.

Edit: I set his account up from a different IP which is the only reason I can think of as they did not supply one in the response I got.

Watched my son play today, he was probably reported for being a bot. Especially since he cant see people talking to him.

Quests are not his thing he just grinds mobs over and over and if he can click on something he does(harvesting). Only moving to a new area when he no longer gets xp/.He certainly has more money than my toon did at 16.

I've recently read that NCSoft has been banning accounts on Aion in relation to botting and spamming. NcSoft said that they banned accounts due to activities that would violates their User Agreement (including buying of kinah). And I think that's crazy! What about those players (like me) who want to gear up or level up their toons but doesn't have enough time to play so they rather choose to buy currency. Actually, I think not all companies that sell aion kinah (like which is included on the list of trusted sites that I found) are bad.

uh uh... buying kinah is lame... you don't need kinah to play the game and it's against the rules - I hope you get banned

ps: what's wrong with the wave of ppl signing up just to post some garbage ? I guess it's just gold spam disguised as post

If there's one thing I know about ban waves, it's that what you hear about isn't the whole story. The "wtf I got banned?" thread on the Aion forums (http://www.aionsource.com/forum/aion-discussion/75339-wtf-i-got-banned.html) went 81 pages before it got locked in favor of a post from NCSoft (http://www.aionsource.com/forum/aion-discussion/75600-regarding-recent-bannings.html) with nearly as many pages. And the response from the community is overwhelmingly "haha you got banned, you must be a cheater".

NCSoft isn't going to say that they banned people who weren't violating the User Agreement, they want you to believe that they made a surgical strike. But it looks like they didn't -- they had to have their customer service working on the weekend (which apparently they don't normally do) to handle the problem. We'll never know the actual number of accounts banned vs the number of those that deserved the ban. They will avoid making that information public. But what if they banned twice as many good players as the bad ones? Ten times as many? What is actually acceptable?

This happened with WoW multiple times as well, but not 2 weeks after the game's release. Blizzard inadvertently banned Linux users in November 2006 (http://www.linux-gamers.net/modules/news/article.php?storyid=1852) and ended up restoring those accounts and giving them free subscription time. They also inadvertently banned WinEQ 2 users, and did the same thing for those accounts. I'm sure there were countless others when they did ban waves. As long as there's tons of people willing to accept the company's PR spin over the word of any other player, the company wins!

Also, the response from Ayase that simply renaming the game's executable may be grounds for a ban is a little off-putting. At least Blizzard gives you the chance to not get banned by preventing you from logging in if they identify something dumb like that.

I'm not defending anyone who actually deserved to get banned, but I think the community is a bit quick to judge.

Pretty inept GM staff in this game, spend the first couple of minutes in game doing nothing but blocking gold selling spam...it flies past you in sub second speed...and the bots, soo many blatent bots....

Moorea

I agree spam is bad and they should be faster at blocking it at the source

As for bots; I actually only saw 1 so far (though I know 2 ppl we kicked out of the guild because they were obviously botting but I didn't actually see them botting myself) so I wonder where are all those bots people talk about

Did the OP even ever played Aion would be a better question :-)

It's funny about teh bots, every hour or so we'll get someone in general shouting 'bot's have just made it to lvl 5 get ready to block' and sure enough here comes the spam...
