A flaw/weakness of the NoFocus method is the Big Button - In giving responsibility for the failover logic to 1 macro you end up targetting dead toons, targetting yourself when the leader switches, sometime go to the wrong window in the heat of battle and waste time. After using No Focus for around a year I still don't have a Big Button that is foolproof.

This eliminates all of these flaws. Writing 5 seperate 230+ character macros is no longer required.

Create 6 Macros, assign to 6 keys, create 5 Keymaps - you're done.

New team? Write 6 small macros, assign to the appropriate keys, go kill stuff.

Disclaimer: This is a raw form of FTL and can be simplified. Some macros are placeholders. Eliminate them at your leisure. Key assignments used here are not mandatory. Change them as you wish.

Keyclone or some method of key redirection is required. I'm positive this can be used for other forms of targetting (focus target, assist focus, etc) but will not go into that in this writeup.

The following is assuming you are running 5 toons. If you're only playing 3, you only need the first 4 macros, and the first 3 keymaps.

Step 1 - MACROS:

It will require the creation of 6 Macros assigned as follows:

Big Button <-- This is a placeholder - Assign to / (Backslash) on all toons. There is no code in this macro.

Toon1 - Assign to F8 on all toons

/target Toon1
/Follow Toon1

Toon2 - Assign to F9 on all toons

/target Toon2
/Follow Toon2

Toon3 - Assign to F10 on all toons

/target Toon3
/Follow Toon3

Toon4 - Assign to F11 on all toons

/target Toon4
/Follow Toon4

Toon5 - Assign to F12 on all toons

/target Toon5
/Follow Toon5

Step 2 - KEYMAPS:

This will require 5 Keymaps as follows:

1.kcl - Assign to Toon 1

Hotstring Keypress
Toon1 \
Toon2 F9
Toon3 F10
Toon4 F11
Toon5 F12

2.kcl - Assign to Toon2

Hotstring Keypress
Toon1 F8
Toon2 \
Toon3 F10
Toon4 F11
Toon5 F12

3.kcl - Assign to Toon3

Hotstring Keypress
Toon1 F8
Toon2 F9
Toon3 \
Toon4 F11
Toon5 F12

4.kcl - Assign to Toon4

Hotstring Keypress
Toon1 F8
Toon2 F9
Toon3 F10
Toon4 \
Toon5 F12

5.kcl - Assign to Toon5

Hotstring Keypress
Toon1 F8
Toon2 F9
Toon3 F10
Toon4 F11
Toon5 \

Step 3 - There is no step 3. Your done. It works. Profit.

Comments, Questions, Recommendations, Constructive Criticism is Welcome.

Edit: Added Kepmaps.zip - these are the keymap files I use, also included is a hotstring "form" for my formation button.

I think this is an excellent idea and actually picked up the same idea from Xzin's post. I think he was using the same thing (or similar) for his hardware box.

If you're hardware boxing with a Vetra setup I don't think it's possible to use FTL system because you don't use keymaps?
