Hi guys =)
I've recently begun exploring the world of multiboxing and its safe to say im hooked. Currently im running 3 instances from 1 computer in a setup with 1 big bottom window and 2 smaller top ones. They are all lvl 70 Mages with various gear ranging from 6k hp to 11k depending on gearchoices and im still experimenting to find out wich spec will suit my playstyle the most.

Until recently they were all full frost since I had grand aspirations about doing pvp with them etc but quite fast I realized that controlling and manouvering 3 mages + 3 water elementals was more than a handfull and in the end I simply couldnt keep track of them effeiciently enough to utilize it to its maximum potential. Atleast not yet ;)

I did however try a couple Baron 45 runs and managed to squeeze the record time down to 18 minutes from start until Baron was dead. Im hereby posting a challenge, how fast can you guys do a multi boxed Baron 45? =)

Happy new year and have fun multiboxing :)

It wasn't really that hard since most people had run UD Strat about five bajillion times at that point. If you weren't familiar with the pulls, there was no way.

It still was sort of a benchmark for 5mans at the time though dont you agree? One of the few instances if not the only that required timing and not only that the pulls be done perfect etc.

I remember thinking then that everyone should go through the baron45 run until you perfected it and this way you had put them through a really good 5man school that the whole guild would benefit from. I've used the term "ok guys, lets keep Baron 45 tempo up through first five bosses here now" when we're Karazan farming for badges etc so in that sence its still viable as a reference point I guess.

Indeed, I must say I still think Strath is my favorite 5 man and I miss what it offered preTBC.

I'll be trying the 3 man run soon and let you know :)

a well geared rogue can single box a baron run in about 13 minutes so..18minutes is not that fantastic^^

Did it in 37 minutes at 60 in a very well geared 5-man group.

My rogue still has 8/8 Dungeon 1 in the bank :)

Did it 2 man, enhance shaman + arcane mage at level 70 in 24 minutes, was my record. :p Non multiboxing though.

I am still waiting for these old school dungeons to be turned into Heroics. How sweet would a heroic 45 min Baron be??

Pre-TBC, this was quite the benchmark, but one rarely achieved by those who could benefit from the T.5 upgrade. I was able to do it, but only because we were in AQ40+ gear.

Recently I did it in 22 minutes on my warrior, and had my priest parked at the entrance to cleanse that nasty disease (100% reduction to healing, including eating/bandages). Had to keep him far back though, because my warrior destroyed my priest on the boss that mind controls. @rogues: does CoS clear diseases too???

Three elemental shamans. About 20-25 minutes, and I usually go around the corner to kill the Unforgiven and Hearthsinger as well.

My current record is 39 minutes ... but that is solo with a 100%-holy specced paladin!
