I know that around here X-key is all time favorite followed by G-keys on G15 and G11 keyboard, and then N52, but I still wanted to list most alternatives I know of :)

not necessary must, but it is like "option" or better yet "choice of preference"

for example Vyndree have X-keys pro and Saitek

and Ellay had TWO N52 since down of the time.
(don't know what she has now for her setup, I really want to find out myself...)

like I sayed in first post, X-keys most favored for multi-boxing
http://xkeys.com/pigraphics/grxkeys/xp576.jpg
followed by G15 keyboard and Nostromo n52

and some use even more creative and elaborate mix of hardware like:

I will try to use SpaceNavigator and SideWinder Commander in near future ;)

I was wondering if anyone used the ergodex. http://www.ergodex.com/content12.php

I've got an old Nostromo N50 and the Razer Tarantula keyboard but they're not really cutting it. I was looking at the Xkeys which everyone seems to love.

The Xkeys pro is going to run me around $170 but the Ergodex is only $140.

Does anyone have any experience with the movable key system?

with Ergodex you get only 25 keys, and no support for VIsta (but they promissing that they are working on it.)
there another model called MFP, with emulation of joistick/mouse/keyboard srokes and bit more, but still it fils under Vista and $170

Not actually used the commander in MMOs, mine is long since dust but while its a good idea on paper its not that nice in practice even for strategy games. I bought mine while I was still playing total annihilation a lot I wouldn't bother again.

It all looks so complicating

I dug my strategic commander out for multiboxing..... Trying to find the drivers for it is a nightmare... I eventually found them (give me a shout if anyone else is struggling) But as Lost-Ninja said, it isn't great... maybe if I could stop the panning / rotation action it would be less annoying

I got an N52 for the extra buttanz a few weeks back and have grown to love it. My left hand automatically strays to it even when solo now.

I plan on getting a better kb or even xkeys when cash allows.

I have an N52, but I just have never been able to get used to it. But then again I was trying to use it for First person shooters. Now with only needing it for macro keys it might be worth hooking the dusty old thing back up.

I finally quit being lazy and set my Xkeys up last night. The thing is sick. I love it.

The orange on that next-to-last one would bother the fuck out of me. I'd have to repaint that.

good job mate would be great if this list was stickied for future referance or as apart of a hardware list stickie.

then I might move my list to sticky above, didn't thought about it earlier =P

the other two posts I made before this one was more like "weird and unusual" hardware, I might add that also, with better format too, like this one :D
