using the stock heat sink? any extra fans? 4 gigs is not really enough to run 5 in WotLK. There used to be a cheaper OS option, I bought Vista 64 OEM for $90 from egghead and it is Ultimate, say business in ad I think, anyway, Vista 64 all you need to run 8 gigs of RAM (hint, hint)
here is the OS Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116488)

For setting up the system, stock is fine. If you are thinking overclock, then yes look at the after market. The case comes with 2 120 mm fans which might be fine. I only see 1 sata cable included. You will need 3.

Every mobo I have bought in the past few years has come with more than enough (at least 4) SATA cables.
I wouldn't worry about it

Try a different manufacturer, the 5870 is a HOT HOT HOT going out of stock frequently item. :)

I was going by the picture of the MB package. I always have enough, but I have more gear than computers I build. I also never have gone all SATA yet.

Ordered! woot woot
hello
i woulnt buy this if i were you, AMD = fail, take the next step get an I7 920
the memory (ram) is not enougth either, you should for alitle more money push it to 8gb
Its cool ur going for a SSD disk, youll be happy for that.
PSU is also fine.
Its a nice graphic card, yet it looks quite expensive maybe you could go with alitle less, and then save some money to get more ram and the i7 cpu
Motherbord = fail dosnt have a socket for intel products :D
If youre really about to buy a computer at this "level" dont buy AMD

1. AMD is just fine. It's really just a matter of preference.
2. He did order 8Gb RAM, look at the list closer.
3/4: Cool story.
5. Latest gen cards will be expensive. But he ended up getting the 4890 because the 5870 was out of stock.
6. NO YOU. AMD is JUST FINE. Give a better argument about why amd is so full of fail.

A company that fails at producing a quad core cpu decides to them sell the same chips as "3 core" CPUs is enough reason for me to stay away from them.
If thats not good enough, go read some performance comparisons over at Tom's hardware. its not secert that Intel > AMD for a good couple of years now.
Then the fact that Nvidia dropped support for AMD because they bought ATI. The list goes on and on.
Or maybe in the server world where you have to apply patches if you're running an AMD system. Patches that aren't needed on Intel stuff. Hmm....
You can scream until you're blue in the face if you like though...
See, I wouldn't be screaming AMD is fine if the poster I quoted actually gave evidence as to why amd is so full of fail. (Please note that it is possible to unlock the fourth core of those three core chips, but not always)
Many of your points are valid, but there are still reasons to go with amd for a system build - if you were upgrading to an AM3 CPU and didn't want to change your motherboard - depending on the motherboard you could use the CPU, whereas with a i7 you'd need a new motherboard, cpu, and ram. I realize in this instance the point of upgrading is moot, as it's a new build.
Either way, people have their preferences. Now, unless you actually give a reason as to why X manufacturer sucks, you won't help at all.
