Looking for the best healing

Ok this is what i do but i know i can do better just need a tad guidance. Ok i enable on isboxer to use my middle mouse click to activate mouse repeating while in an instance. This way i can scroll over on my main and click a portrait that needs a heal. Then i hit ctrl1-8 to heal depending on what they need since 7 n 8 are nat swift and swiftmend. I know there has gotta be an easier way to do this or a cast macro for targetting whoever is at harm or most threat atm and heal them. Any guidance with those used to running healers im still working on it getting there but still doesnt seem sufficient enough.

I would love to do that but i run druids so num 1 - 6 is form switch lol. Might make it something else hmmm.

Hmmmm thought of another idea due to isboxer and having to find new ui since macaroon is done basically. Get a ui that allows for moveable bars like macaroon and make a bar for just click healing. In otherwords instead of having portraits on the healer have heal bars so i can just click the heal it targets that character and does certain heal. Will still work this out.

well, even though you use 1-6 for form switches, you can still use ctrl/alt/shift mods for the num keys, which gives you a grand total of 96 keys for healing minus the 6 you use for form switching, so 90 key(combinations).

Ok i bound numpad 1-8 for healer but also did the isboxer click repeater. This way i push down middles mousepad and i can click while still dpsing for my healer. First ss is of my tanks ui and second is of healers. Ive tried this with my dk lvl 80 in lvl 60 gear and it works awesome. Lets see what happens as i get higher on my druids atm 64 almost 65.

Ok found one problem and thats it after more testing. Is there a way to disable in isboxer my healer from auto targeting the tanks target. Since only thing i can see is i have to stop dps for a sec cause if i dont my healer wont heal me but will target the mob again. I just want him to be the only one that doesnt target tanks target but targets and stays on whoever i am on so i can still mash my dps button while click healing. Thanx for any help and if anyone understands what i am saying.

Easy fix, set up an "Action target group", put everyone but your healer in that. Then you need to change your DPS key, you want to go to your FTL DPS Keys(Assuming here you ran the quick setup), find the keys your mashing. Say DPS 1, go under Actions and put the action target group you set up in under the "target" scrolldown.

Ok i think imma tackle that when im a little more awake and not dead from running ramps and bf about 5million times. Not kidding druids almost lvl 65 started ramps at 60 lol. Got almost all gear for 3 boomchickens and tree and my duel specd boomchickens feral gear. Hey when they are 69 guess whos soloing balinda in av oh yea 4 manning the whore lol.

Ok i said wtf imma try newayz ok this is what i did see if its what u ment. I made a action grp called it dkdruid_dps. Next i scrolled down and added my dk and the 3 dps druids to it. Then i went up to FTL dps keys. Clicked on that scrolled to left lower side and clicked on dps key 1. Went to actions and not the assist me first part but the second part i change the target to groups others in dkdruid_dps and nothing healer still targets mobs. Then i said lets try all in dkdruids_dps and still nothing. Not sure if i am doing it right. Cause what i do to heal is i keep mouse repeater on for healing sake. So i can click on portrait then click the heal icon. But while i am mashing the button the healer will target the mob again for some odd reason. I am even adding another column just so that my healer and tank can click off portraits instead of all of them clicking the portraits. So if you can just let me know if i am doing it right would be great thanks. Cause once i get that fixed healing will be so easy with click.

I may have misunderstood what you are after, but it seems your healing is much more complcated than it needs to be,e specially as you are using nner space.

I run 3 team combinations and the healing / decursing etc are all covered by the same setup and does not require any macros.

The 3 teams are
War - Priest - 3 x mages
Pally - priest - 3 x mages
5 x shamen.

The healing is covered by the use of the Vudu addo.
On each toons screen the Vudu panels are in the same place. within Vudu, on the panels option screen,
I have the panels anchored on the bottom left corner,
I have the "My name first" option unticked << important
i have the group option set to loose
and I have all the characters sorted by name

This means i have a set of vudu click panels on every toons screen in the same place.

Within game, call up the repaeter GuI (the setting is turned on in the character set section of ISboxer)
Add a repeater region that is broadcast to all others
Have the repeater region cover your vudu panels ( my repeater area is the size vudu 40 man raid takes up)

rinse and repeat on al toon screen.

The repeater region will hen braodcast any mouse clicks in the repeater region to all the toons.

You can click heal withouut changin targets or focus. I am still learning, so have little finess with the click heals, ie i have left the default to whatever vudu is set to.
For the shamen this usually means left click - lesser healing, right click chain heal

it has woked well so far for my pve toons, eg: war priest +3 mages. Warior takes the lead, and is the assist, the mages and preist assist / have focus targets, and mid combat whilst dpsing, if war or any other needs a heal, i can click onthe relevant vudu name panel and the priest will heal as needed.

I have had a lot of fun in AV with the same setup as the 5 shamen can happily dpsa target and at the same time heal anyone inthe raid that is within range. 5 chain heals firing off in Drek's room, whilst dpsing seems to contribute to the effort.

The finesse comes later when I am hoping to have one shammy as a resto spec, and i will save one or 2 kinds of mouse click where he performs and action and the others keep dpsing.

Imma give vudu a chance once i find it lol. Nvm i was going off your spelling and just typed in vu in curse and found it lol. vuhdo incase ne one gets confused heh time to set it up and see. You also say that isboxer lets me do a certain area for mouse repeater. Cause like i said i just use my middle mouse button click to activate it for ease and then goto who needs the heal. If it allows u to do that plus put the curser in that little area even better. Oh yea btw i dont really need vuhdo to show on all toons just healer and tank right.

Everyone does it different, I would just pick one that works for you.
I don't like to think about stuff, my goal isn't to heal a lot, if I wanted to do that, I would make a 4 man healing team and do BG's exclusively. I mostly want defensive stuff to so I can kill stuff without worrying about my team.

So BM for hunters (for health regen and larger health), blood for DK's (for bigger death strike and passive/active healing), demo for locks (with shadow priest in shadow for larger pets and more healing--demo talent to heal pets) and light judgement along with stam gear for my pallies (all DKs and pallies tank equally using taunt to shift mobs around). In other words, I try to make things so I don't need active heals as much.

For my healing classes (or healing spells), I pretty much just heal whoever is getting beat on.
/cast [target=focus-target-target] HealSpell
No thinking, no remembering which button to press with this group or that group, just press button and magic happens. Sure you want to heal specific people sometimes, so I put a
/cast [target=focus-target, help] HealSpell
first so I can pick who I would heal. But I do that about 10% of the time outside a BG and 90% of the time inside one. You can put sequence in so you can ramp up your healing, for the times that you don't need much, like:
/castsequence [target=focus-target] reset=8 HOT, BiggerHOT (or priest bubble), SmallHeal, BigHeal
again, for crappy mobs, you just push it 1-2 times and go on, or for harder fights, you have HOTs and heals all togther to help out.

That is just my opinion, everyone can do whatever they want, I just don't like to think or relearn if I play a different group. Also, I don't think fast or clear enough to put individual heal spells on individual keys for seperate players. I have noticed I have a huge tendency to lean toward AOE healing (Prayer of Mending, Chain heal (and glyph), healing totem, Holy Light glyph, Rune tap, holy nova, etc). I try to make sure all my guys get hurt evenly so no one dies quick, which fits with AOE healing to help the most.

I find the repeater region better in practce than send next click. I use send next click for specific actions.
The repeater region offers me a faster reaction time.

I had tried Grid, ( with clique) and Healbot, however the key is to ensure that the panel name order is the same on all toons. With healbot, I could not get the order the same on all toons, each toon always appeared first in their own list.

I did get it to work with Grid however i had to edit the layout........lua to sort by character name.

Vuhdu has it al built into one application.

I do still use Grid for some tasks.

The advanage of having the panel set up the same on all toons, is the guarantee of targeting the right character on each toon.

I am not the particularily adept boxer, and still new to pvp, however this solution worked for me and saved the headahe of trying to work out a healing macro setup.

Man vuhdo is nice and all but if i deleted the bars on my tank how do i reset vuhdo lol and get the ui to comeback grrrr. Also your saying it i can just click on vuhdo like healbot but it will auto turn on repeater with isboxer. Cause it seems to me just trying it once before i lost the ui on my tank that i still needed to activate mouse repeating thru isboxer to be able to use my mouse buttons to heal. Still working on it but running outta time almost time for work.

Ok i got the ui to comeback read the wiki on it didnt know there was one till i look on curse wewt. Now i just need to make sure the other boxes dont show up unless i want them to like main tanks and stuff like that.

The repeater regions are covered in Zanthors sticky guide.

click on your chracter set name and you will see a third option = In-gamme ISboxer GUI hotkey. Set a key combination. I use ctrl+alt+\

Once in game press the combo, and a menu box pops up.

in the first drop down select all other
then click add

A region appears that you can resize and reposition.

Once happy, click saveas auto ( whatever the default is)

Rinse repeat on all toons.

Ok i set that up and looked at zanthor still dont understand. What i mean is i got vuhdo all in smae spot used ctrl shift and r to match them all up. Next i made the repeater boxes so they are all the same. On first one did the all other select and saved as my group name. Did that will all others and sync them so i know they are all the same. Only problem i see is it only scrolls over two characters i dont see it scroll over all for some reason.

Ok i got it working now but why the heck do all the other chars cast the same heals as my healer. I disabled all healing from mouse clicks on them but they still do it kinda wierd.

OK everything is fine now inside the spells i just put a , in everyone's thing so they wouldn't accidentally cast heals or such. Other then that wow i lived without this for a group wow wow wow wow is all im saying its so nice and easy now.

Once in game, call up the Gui and load the repeater, then make sure you saveas Auto, then I think i hit the load auto button, although I do not think the load is needed, just savas auto.

Ok will do later time for bed but man thanx for all the help i did a trial run thru ramps i know with my 80 tank/dps dk but wow was it easy i would purposely let others get attacked just to see how easy it would be. But yea once again thanks imma work more on this on my next day off i think im closer now to getting everything setup with my two monitors now actually working with is boxer. So much better full screen main and 4 wows on another screen and the healing.
