Never tried buyxg.com, but got a laptop and a PC from Cyberpower a few years back. I was happy with the quality of both the laptop and the PC, but that's about it.
Neither machine was extremely custom, yet they kept pushing the ship date back every week claiming they were "waiting for parts to come in that are on back order". I ordered it on a Friday and was given an expected ship date of Thursday the next week. It ended up shipping out 3 weeks later. They also never emailed or called me throughout the whole ordeal to let me know my order was delayed. I had to make contact with them every time the ship date they'd give me passed and they never offered anything off the price or to cover the shipping costs to make up for the inconvenience. The manor in which they pack their products is top notch though. Very safe and secure to prevent damage during shipping.
Their prices are reasonable if you're someone who does not know how to spec out and assemble a PC, but if you can then you'll certainly save a bundle buying all your components and assembling it yourself.
I still have both machines which my wife now uses, and though outdated at this point they still function well and have had no problems with them.
One thing you might think about doing is checking out www.microcenter.com (http://www.microcenter.com) and see if there is a store near you. The prices there are really good for PCs that can handle multiboxing very smoothly by just upgrading the video card and throwing in a few more gigs of RAM which even the layperson can replace without much difficulty.
Also, if you have a decent understanding of PC's and their components you might trying checking out the computer section of Craigslist in your area. Sometimes you come across really good machines that are new or barely used for dirt cheap prices! I got my current Multibox PC ( i7, 12 gig RAM, 2 1TB drives, 260GTX, Vista64, 24in monitor, etc.) for $600 off a college student at Harvard (I live in Boston) who's parents bought it for him at the beginning of the school year and decided a month later he wanted a MAC (which of course they bought his spoiled ass). Be sure if you take this approach you know how to run some diagnostics, do a bench test, and verify warranty coverage on the PC and it's components before buying it.

I have purchased 3 computers from them over the last year and a half. My Laptop, my desktop and my wife's desktop.
If you are not going to build your own, I think this is the next best thing. If you look at the breakdown of parts costs vs. how much they charge, its not a huge difference. I'm just lazy :)
The only issue we've had is my wife's sound card. The ports in the back never worked, I couldnt find any good drivers for it, so we just gave up and used the ports on the front (she's not terribly concerned with sound anyway). Aside from that, no other issues for me.

I purchased my current system from www.buyxg.com. When pricing out the component parts on Newegg, I didn't see a difference in price (at all) and given they were going to assemble it and throw on a warranty, I though it was a no-brainer. Everything works well and I have a very nice 5-boxing computer for $1,500.
The only possible downside is that you have to wait for them to assemble and ship it. From time of order to delivery it could be a couple weeks. Compare that with Newegg where you could likely have the parts the next day and ready to build. I'd personally rather have buyxg assemble the computer and wait until it's ready.

You know, that's actually not bad. I priced compared their components to newegg cost of the exact same component. I like that they linked exactly what they are using and that they are not using some propriatory components like Dell/HP and such do and going off newegg pricing which is about as good as any normal consumer will get, they are not charging much more then what my cost would be for the componens alone. And let me tell you, if someone wanted me to order parts and assemble, it will be for bigger money then these guys are charging lol. Lots of nice choices in there too for other things. Not a bad service at all. looks like some people that probably started out putting computerstogether for friends and expanded to do more and can get better deals on components then us normal consumers can, so no doubt they are paying less then retail for the parts.
I have heard of both before and actually I think they are one and the same, but it was all bad reiews. But going off the fact that they gave a break down of exact parts used and...it is really easy to assymble computers, if I had no idea on building a cmputer, I'd probably try em out.
But also, when I built my first computer I had no idea what I was doing and all I had to go on was a 6 page article on a PC magazine for instructions. Granted, I had experience working on avionics systems for airplanes and can rebuild the hell out of car motors, but really, it is not that hard and you gotta start somewhere unless you're fine with always buying premade computers.
