Have just seen this, posted by Maul as a comment on his Macaroon page on wowinterface (posted 28/9)

I can't see how to link to his comment but here's his Macaroon page... http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info10636-Macaroon.html

I was not going to post, but I shall -

1) I currently do not find WoW enjoyable. I have canceled my main account for now.

2) I really do not have the time to maintain a project of this magnitude. Trinity Bars, then Macaroon, is a unique bar addon. It requires someone dedicated to it to keep it going. I find I no longer can as of this moment. I have tried in the past to get another addon dev onto the project, but was never successful. It is my hope that someone eager will attempt to at least keep the concepts going, if not the code itself. I posted the recent version to ensure that hosting sites like wowinterface will have no issues in accepting derivative works.

3) I really enjoy the addon community. I do not want to stop making addons. It is just not in the cards right now, so-to-speak. Perhaps things will change for me and when Cataclysm comes out, I may find a renewed desire for the game and addons. So I leave that door open.

I truly hope someone out there has the desire to at least try to keep the concepts of the project going.

I really do have a deep appreciation for the addon community and especially the dedicated users of my addons. I will miss everything for the time being. But I just can't be here for right now http://s.wowinterface.com/images/style_mmoi_wowi/smilies/frown.gif

-MaulTerrible news... all of my chars, single and multiboxing, use Macaroon for all of their buttons and macros... I can't face finding and switching to a replacement :(

Hope this helps.

this is the main reason I dont use bar add ons...

You can adjust to most things in the game, but if they start messing with your bars... lol =P

Sucks that hes not having fun, maybe cataclysm will jolt him back into the picture.

Aside from the display niceties there is nothing you can do in macaroon that you can't do with /click and creativity. Unless of course you use more than the total number of macros you are allowed. But I have 5 teams and still have about 10 free macro spaces on each even with all 1 scenario type macros.
Hopefully you'll be able to continue, I was addicted to flexbar when it still let you switch buttons and macros in combat. That was a hard switch for me, but I would have to say that one experience made me a better and more thoughtful player...at least as far as planning out setups and macros are concerned.

Truly very sad. Its times like these I wish bliz would let people charge for their work.

I would gladly pay to keep support going for this addon.

I guess I can spend some time learning lua in hopes of trying to keep it going...

That sucks. I'm loving Macaroon not for it's extended functionality (although it's nice to have more macros), but for how flexible it is. I really hope someone picks up the project :-)

Mmmm, time for me to start using Macaroon... or bits of it anyways...
Edit: If no one else picks this up, I'm at least having a look at the code and I'm sure there are enough developers out there to keep it moving through patches.
Edit: A lot of work has gone into this mod!

Ya that would be super if you could just get the parts that make the macros and the bars. It really dons't need any more features just needs to be updated as it breaks during patchs. Or just incorporate the best parts into Jamba.
