So I'm going to get a new computer but not just yet. I was wondering if you think mine could run 5 WoW's with 4 in the lowest settings and 1 in okay graphic settings.

I'm using ubuntu linux at the moment and I don't really know how to see hardware stats but here is something that I got:

Video Card: GeForce 8800 GT

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 2.40GHz

RAM: 3.4GB O_O, I guess.

What do you think?

I'd say no, but as some guy said earlier.. Just create trial accounts and see what your limit is.

You're going to see some lag, but yes, you should be able to run 5 wow's.

Before Northrend you'll be fine. In northrend you'll run into memory issues.

Outlands may have some memory issues, not as many as northrend.

If you upgrade to a 64 bit OS you'll likely immediately see 4gb of ram instead of 3.4 (since I can't think of a config to get to 3.4) which would help everywhere. You'll likely run into problems getting Linux to multibox with most multicasters, though i've heard of it being done.

One thing I find amusing is the specs you listed used to be the zomgtopend multiboxing specs...

I missed the linux part, from what I've been told by other users, keyclone and Innerspace both work fine under wine.

Yeah I'll only be using one pc for a while. So I'll get myself Windows XP 64 Bit or Windows 7.
After doing that I'll get some trial accounts set up to check everything.

IMO, Windows 7. You can also pick up Vista 64, and most places will give you a free coupon to upgrade to 7 when it goes retail.

That's similar to what I started out with, and had really no problems unless entering a major city. Keep everything on lowest possible, and your 'main' at the lowest you can stand and you'll be fine, especially in the starting zones.
